Working with Mel & Jay was good... until it wasn't. Then did things ever go wrong!? Disbursements for payments made from the tenants of my properties routinely ran 45, then 60, then more days late. Then I got the letter from them that they were closing the doors. After having collected three straight months rent from without giving me the disbursements. Mismanagement. Malfeasance. Massive disappointment. Merry Christmas!\r \r I like them as people, but they did me wrong as a business. My advice:\r \r *** STAY AWAY! *** more

When I was looking for a company to use for managing my rental property, I found Mel and Jay through an online search. Our business relationship is fairly new but I am impressed with their professionalism and attention to detail. However, I am most impressed by their marketing strategies for my property. They found quality tenants in a very short amount of time and everything has been going smoothly. I hope it continues this way. more

I have two homes managed by Mel and Jay and they are no hassle, no headache, and very dependable, professional, and capable. I have nothing to worry about and my deposits come every month. They treat my tenants great and ensure that the property is kept up to date and that I comply with all applicable laws. I love this company and refer all my investor friends to them. They make me fearless when contemplating building a real estate portfolio because I know I won't have to deal with the headaches. more

Mel and Jay Property Management has been a general headache relief for me. They really know their stuff and have a straightforward attitude with their tenants. They don’t beat around the bush like other companies do, and they have always gotten back to me in a timely manner. I can remember one instance where I was having problems with my AC unit, and the techs weren’t responding as fast as they’d like. They got on the phone with them and made sure my appointment was kept. They really do care about their tenants and want them to be happy living in their properties. Because as I’m sure you know, happy tenants means better living for everyone. more

Good Company 5/1/2012

My previous property manager was terrible (I won't mention the name) and another one of their clients referred me to Mel & Jay. I'm glad to say I now have a company that is doing what it's meant to do. There was a lot of work to be done in the first place too, as my previous manager had left it a terrible mess. They're a good company and I'd recommend them to anyone. more
