I work in retail and I know how important it is for return business and word of mouth. I want to take a moment to post about a previous disaster I had at a national chain "MEINEKE" mechanic shop. I made a bad decision and took my Toyota to a shop by where I work they are a national chain "MEINEKE" so I thought it would be ok, it was anything but. First They had me pick up my own part then they put it on it broke again the next day I spent over $600 on the part I asked them what happened and they told me they might have put the wrong part on my truck. They tried to blame me for picking up the part, so I asked them arent you the professional? Weren't you the one who would know the part wasn't right before you put it on? They told me normally yes but one person took the old part off and a different person put the new part on so they couldn't compare the parts. When I heard this I hit the roof and demanded my truck back. I took my truck right to Toyota of rivergate and spoke with Robbie V. He told me they would look at my truck right away and call me when they knew something. Robbie V. Called me about an hour later and told me that the part the other mechanics put on was the right one but if they would have read the book they would have found out when you replace this part you have to replace the whole series thats why it blew out again. Robbie V. Told me it would normally cost over $2000 to fix the issues. Robbie V. Went the extra mile and found a separate warranty on this system and got it done for me at no charge. Plus he is getting my $600 I originally spent at that joke of a mechanic shop down the road. Robbie V. I truly customer focused and should be recognized. Bottom line don't take your vehicle to MEINEKE if you value you it. Plus trying to put the blame on the customer to cover yourself was some of the worst customer service I have ever experienced.
