Meineke Car Care Center

I took my 1996 Ford Aerostar to have an 2 wheel alignment done for $69.99 and to repair the flex pipe section of the Exhaust repaired for $95.00 labor only because I bought my own pipe. Being fairly mechanical I rebuilt the front suspension myself installing brand new upper and lower ball joints, control arm bushings, tie rod ends, shocks and had Discount tire install new wheels and tires. I also performed a tune up prior to having this shop touch my vehicle. The mechanics seemed nice enough however after spending over half a day and 3 tries to properly align my vehicle which they actually made entirely worse it was a total waste of time. Not to mention that the check engine light came on after the exhaust work was done, most likely due to all the banging required to remove the old section of flex pipe. I cannot really hold them responsible for this but I would have at least expected the shop manager to offer a discount to have it repaired which didn?t happen as I was quoted $12 more

Honestly I have never felt so mislead in my life. They completely tried, I mean did, rip me off. In 2007 I had $2500 worth of work done at the Meineke here in Bolingbrook at Weber and Boughton road. Since then my brakes have gone bad. In 2007 they charged me $75 per rotor. Now the charge is $60 per rotor and $45 to resurface the rear rotors. This is what made me think "Lets call Advanced Auto Parts" which is right next door. Can you believe the price per rotor is only $39 per rotor. Now why would you charge $75 per rotor in 2007 and $60 now and $45 to resurface. Why resurface when you can get new ones for cheaper than your resurface charge. Now think they tried to charge me 2.5 hours for labor. How much of that is to resurface the rotors when they can get new one's for $39 35 steps away.I will never ever metion Meineke Bolingbrook again. My recommendation is to never use this shop. Talat runs a bad business and a complaint has been filed with the better business bureau. more

Another Meineke car care center to the Ripoff list which is in Schaumburg.IL, 811A W Higgins Road. shop else where than getting ripped off. A recent experience on parts that they installed on my car, were 250% more than other places. I realized just about 5 minutes later after they gave me an estimate,which was too much of a time to be qualified for demanding restocking fee and other, etc etc costs to scare their customers. more

I have a 99 accord that needed a break fix in the back wheels. They happened to charge me $250 dollars for that break fix. I also asked for a quote for changing the front wheels and the quote was $390. I called couple for their competitors and Car X was able to fix my breaks for $135.00. I found that Meineke guys were spreading false information about the repairs of other accusing the others of using inferior parts etc. more

This week I finally changed the brakes on my car . I was driving it with a squiking noise for a while because I just did not have time to change my brakes . Meineke is a place which located not far from my work place so that's why I considered it . Meineke Car Care Center is located just off the Boughton and they always have space for you to put your car on the parking lot . All the brake changing job on my Chevy was about $ 60 dollars .which is really good deal . Also I had rotters replaced because mine were in worst condition I ever saw them . It took about 4 hours to get all job done and I also got two years warranty on my new brakes . Good deal ! more
