If you go at the busiest times of the day, you'll often face long lines and bare shelves. It seems that the store can't always handle the large volume of shoppers that it receives. But employees are generally helpful and the store is a pleasant place to be overall. If you're unfamiliar with the Meijer concept, you'll be pleasantly surprised by its mix of grocery, health & beauty, clothing and other general merchandise items. Meijer also offers many great sales. Especially look out for some of their "Super Saturday" promotions where you might get two liters of pop for fifty cents or buy one, get two free lunch meats. more

The shoe repair area is located at the front of the store, near one of the entrances, so if you don't want to do any other shopping, it's possible to stop in quickly. The employees are helpful and can take care of most minor shoe problems and some major ones. Whatever the problem, you can know that they'll do whatever they can to try to fix it. The shoe repair area also offers a display of shoe-related items like a large selection of replacement shoelaces and assorted foot creams and powders.
