Meghan's Closet

Meghans Closet is one of Baton Rouge's best kept secrets. Whether it is an outfit for your daughter, a baby gift for a shower, or simply a new bow for tomorrow, you will walk out of the store with a new friend in the owner. She is so genuine it is a pleasure to spend money with her. Unlike other small shops, I have never left this boutique feeling like I had to buy something or made a purchase I wish I hadn't. Take the time and stop in. You will be very glad that you did and you will return again. I enjoy giving my business to the local community and Meghans Closet gives back to the Baton Rouge community as well. What a great shop. more

It's been about 2 years since I shopped at Meghan's Closet. Things have really changed! They have new owners and remodeled the shop. Everything is SO cute. They don't sell used clothes - never have and I've shopped there for almost 30 years. Great selection & competitive prices - the friendliest staff! I felt at home - and they really helped me. A great boutique experience. I needed a baby gift and I could hardly decide on just one thing. Cute birthday gifts, jewelry, christening items. Be sure to look at their hair bows - they're called Two Sisters Bows. My granddaughter loves them and they don't fall apart. You can also find them at Victoria's Toy Station on Government St. in BR. That's where I found them first. But the new owner at Meghan's makes the bows - she'll custom make bows to match outfits for you. more

This store is very easy to find. It is small but easy to shop and has a great selection of this year's new smocked outfits. I found my daughter's Christmas dress at this store. I was waited on by friendly staff. Seems like the prices have gone up since I was in last, they are more expensive this season than they were last season. more

Meghan's Closet has been around for many years under a few different owners. I have watched Meghan grow up on their t.v. commercials! I think this is a very nice store with alot to offer in its small space. Some reviews said how pricey this store was, but you have to realize that this is a "boutique". Every boutique in this town is pricey, dear! \r \r Someone mentioned they would rather shop at the Refinery, but you should compare apples to apples. Refinery is a nice store, but it is a consignment store not a boutique. Of course, their pricing is different! Give me a break. Every store is going to be great to some and horrible to others. It is called an opinion. That is all it is. \r \r We all have bad days, so if you found a rude or bad experience, give that store another try and see if it is maybe YOU that is having a bad day, not the store employee! Anyway, how could a store still be in business if they are constantly giving poor customer service and bad pricing. more

This store has some nice very upscale brands, but they sell the same brands at the refinery on sherwood for much less. I think they have been around forever, and I've gone in a lot, but I have only bought a few items. I'm not sure what the other reviewers were talking about - I've never been treated badly there. more

Meghan's Closet has beautiful clothes, but the business is a bit pricey. Be prepared to pay for it. There are Feltman Bros. among other familiar and cherished brands more

I went in this store to pass some time before I drove down to the movie theater. I must have been underdressed in my jeans and t shirt because I was completely ignored as a customer. I even asked for help with sizes and was pointed to a few racks of clothing. I did end up with a purchase of a baby toy-but no thank you for a gift that I probably could have bought much cheaper at another store. I found their clothing overpriced and the service definitely left me wanting to leave the store. more
