My parents purchased over $1100 worth of furniture from them and when it was delivered they realized that one of the chairs was too big. They contacted the wife of the owner the next day to exchange/return the chair and she said that the manufactorer, Lane would not let them, even though the tags were still on the chair. She would let them exchange it for $200 less than they paid for it. I felt they were taking advantage of my parents since they are both in their 70's and I called Lane and found out that she was lying! Meers buys the furniture from Lane so it's up to Meers as far as what their return/exchange policy is. When I shared this with them, the husband became extremely upset and ugly and basically said that they have no exchange/return policy and all sales are final even though it's not posted anywhere and they don't tell you this until after they have your money in thier greedy hands. He was so very nasty. These people lied about so much in the course of the conversation and have no sense of what customer service even means. They are nothing more than predetors preying on elderly people and anyone else they can lie to and basically rob. I would never shop at that store ever and will share this sad experience with everyone who will stand there long enough to hear it. The good news is that "your works shall follow you, be they good or evil" and they'll eventually get to know "karma" very well. This is why no one wants to buy locally anymore and they give local businesses a bad name.
