This is one of the last restaurants on State Street I can go to without feeling like a tool of some giant gluttonous corporate machine. The food is good, largely due to fresh ingredients. My main criticism is on the falafel sandwich, which pretty much makes or breaks a mediterranean restaurant for me. The Med Cafe's falafel comes in wrap form, which works fine for me, but there are pickles in there, which somehow just seems wrong. Also, the falafel balls themselves seem a bit bland for my taste. That said, everything else on the menu is solid. If you go, try the mango chutney. I think that's what it was, anyway.
