This is truly my favorite Greek place in Nashville. My entire family eats here...including my 9 year old who is one of the pickiest eaters on the planet. My favorite is the lamb gyro platter with hummus. Be sure to get some pita bread on the side! All of this wonderful goodness for just a few bucks! I ordered the number 4 combination platter to sample many things and all of it was perfect. The meats were tender and flavor filled, the rice exactly as it should be. I lived in Egypt for a few years and there is a specific taste I have been searching for and am so pleased to have found it. The falafel was the best I have had here in Nashville to the taste I loved in Egypt. Now if they had kuneffa, kushari and malekia... ahhh! I will definitely go back as often as possible. Prices are fantastic, portions hearty and everything is fresh. It is simply furnished on the inside but clean and plenty of seating, plus there is a great outdoor dining area as well. They had wonderful music/video feed of authentic Arabic music from the region and it was at a comfortable level to provide entertainment but not distracting. This restaurant won me over years ago with incredibly consistent quality, flavor, and value. Don't confuse the quality of the Brentwood location with the mediocrity of the one on 21st Avenue. The Brentwood restaurant is an outstanding restaurant with an incredibly loyal following. Pros: Great outdoor seating next to a pond in a quiet business park. Great Shawarma! My mother and I first visited Mediterranean Cuisine in Brentwood because of the health benefits of mediterranean food. We were so pleased by the service, quality of food, and great price of the food here that we return at least once a week sometimes two. Give it a try! I believe you will love it. more

We're originally from California and are always on the lookout for authentic ethnic food. This was a welcome surprise. It has a ""quick"" cafe style feel to it, with the lesser expensive tables and chairs, but that's just fine if you're looking for inexpensive quality food and not ""ambience."" The menu is so much fun...we wanted to try everything! The service was superfast and the food is excellent. The server (I believe he may have been the owner) was extremely helpful and friendly. The low price made the meal even better. This is now one of our spots...we're determined to try everything on the menu at least once!!
