After being sick for years and visiting many doctors in the hope to better my health, I came across Medical Center of Marin, when everyone else was closed. The wait to see the doctor was minimal. The staff professional and pleasant. Upon my first encounter with doctor I saw something I have never seen before, a caring, professional doctor that truly cares about his patients. I was sent to the emergency room and the doctor followed up immediately, something most doctors never do. If I could describe Medical Center of Marin in one word, it would be compassion. Thank you for everything you do daily for all your patients. more

My wife was visiting a friend in the bay area and cut her hand on a glass. She found this place because they take our insurance. She got there and they couldn't even decide how to stitch her up. Once they did she left. Well her finger got infected and our Dr here couldn't believe the crappy job they did. Then a few month go by and they send us an huge bill. I call them and they forgot to bill our insurance so I give them our insurance and now they are threating to send us to collection. I call them about it and say it's my responsibility to pay. I say ya my Co-pay (Which they also refuse to take when seen.) I told them call my insurance cause we aren't paying all of it. My insurance says they contacted them. Crappy place. All around horrible service and horrible after care. Stay as far away from this place as you can. more

I'm a medical professional of 11 years. I called MCOM and was told I would be seen as long as I showed up before 5PM on Staturday. When I arrived before closing I was refused to be seen. The front desk girl (who I had spoken to on the phone) proceeded to reprimand me for being late, saying I needed to be there before 5PM. I pointed to the clock on the wall showing her that I was there before 5PM and that the neon open sign was still on in the window. The girls up front seemed to care more about closing up than taking care of people. I asked to speak with the doctor but was told she was seeing a patient. The girl and her partner up front both walked around the corner down the hallway. I heard one of them say, ""I don't care!"" I arrived with a bright red infection on my lower leg that has not healed up. Antibiotics is all I needed. The front girls were just as smug and rude as can be. The lead front desk girl said she did speak with the doctor who said she wasn't taking any more patients. I think the front desk girl was lying, if not, so much for Hippocratic Oath! Folks, this place was a joke experience for patient care. Take your business somewhere else. A perfect example of why the country is in the shape it's in. A perfect example of how Marin Valley has turned into ""Me Valley"". more

I am always in a hurry (surprised I stopped to write this) but I had to write because it was so nice to actually be out of a DOCTORS office in less than 3 or 4 hours. I came in on short notice, I fell down some stairs at work and twisted my ankle. The ER is always packed so I tried this place for the first time. Everyone was polite and I was outta there in about an hour and a half, they gave me something for the pain right there and that was it! It was a refreshing change to the grouchy people of the world. Go there if you're in a hurry! Gotta go! Pros: great if in a hurry Cons: could be open later more

I went to the Med Center of Marin on my weekend with my daughter (separated). We walked in without an appointment and were seen within 30 minutes. My daughter was very fussy with a running fever and the girls at the front desk were so helpful, asking her if she needed anything while she waited. They gave her some ice water and kept her mind off her fever (without a TV!) We were in and out of there and given medication right there so I didn't have to make a trip to the pharmacy, which was GREAT. I wish places like this were open 24/7 so guys like me can always find a place to go on a minutes notice. Thanks to all the ladies who saved my day (and kept me from a nasty argument with the wife!!!) Pros: everyone was so helpful Cons: they aren't open on Sunday more

I'm a nurse practitioner from another state and needed an antibiotic for sinus pain of 3 week duration (i have allergies and suspected a sinus infection) First they made me put on a mask and as soon as i questioned the reason i was put to the bottom of the list. After waiting for 55 minutes the doctor finally came in, looked in my nasal passage and prescribed an antibiotic. It took 2 minutes. The doctor was unbelievably rude, and scolded me for not wearing my mask. Last I checked,sinusitis with no coughing, no fever or other respiratory symptoms is not the same as swine flu. Dr was on a total power trip. Google other reviews of this place, they are ALL bad with the exception of the one on this site ( the doctor probably wrote it). The doc never even looked in my ears or throat. This should be basic procedure when someone comes in with sinus pain. INCOMPETENT!!!! Pros: It's there Cons: Doctors are incompetent more

Glad a clinic like this exists. Regular MD was booked solid and didn't want to [or need to] go to the ER. I was feeling pretty bad with a cold and sinus pressure. Dr. Curtis and his staff were caring. He did a full work-up and gave me medicines. In and out in about a half an hour. Will go back if my regular doctor can't accomodate me again on short notice. Pros: Quick, caring and knowledgeable. Easy to get to. Cons: paper gowns [hasn't the medical community ever thought of using cotton?!?!] more
