Medical Center Ob-Gyn

I do not have a problem with their doctors, but their customer service has been a disaster in the past week. My wife has attempted to contact one (of four) of her doctors on multiple occasions, and she has been hung up on, left on hold, and never called back, even after being told that they would call her back. This has been spread out over multiple instances within 14 days. Meanwhile, my wife has had a serious infection and hasn't been able to get in touch with anyone at this office outside of scheduling an appointment. We have ended up going to the hospital twice to get the infection taken care of, and we are still struggling to communicate with this office. Again, I don't have necessarily any negative words against their individual doctors, but this office's ability to communicate and assist us has been a joke. Any normal business owner will tell you that customer service is a fundamental part of any company, but Johnson City OB/GYN is struggling to grasp this concept. We will be switching practices after our child is born in the next few weeks. more

First of all this practice is the best.. I have been with this practice since 2003.. Dr Tallyhorne is all out the best doctor there. She has delivered two of my children. She also has been the greatest docotor for my endometriosis. Other than te delivery of my children she also done 3 other surgeries on me as well.. She explains everything very well. Down to earth doctor, great bedside manner all out the best. Pros: private, repsectful Cons: not much parking more

Dr. Grover May is absolutely one of the most outstanding, compassionate, knowledgeable, and skilled physicians I have ever encountered. He takes the time to draw diagrams to explain procedures, etc. fully and takes the time to help you make the very best decision for your health. He is a wonderful doctor, and I highly recommend him. Dr. May was my doctor from October 1994 to May 1995. He was doing his residency at Erlanger Hospital (University of Tennessee College of Medicine - OB/GYN Residency) in Chattanooga. He was an excellent doctor. The doctor I was going to wasn't very nice to me. I lost my medical insurance, and he washed his hands of me. I was pregnant, had morning sickness 24/7, and was unable to work. I lost 22 lbs in the first 3 months. I started bleeding one day in my second month, and was afraid it might be a miscarriage. I went to the emergency room, and Dr. May was the doctor on call. He was great. He was funny, and made me feel at ease. He also put my husband at ease. His bedside manner was wonderful. I decided that he was the doctor for me. I started going then to the clinic where he did his residency. My husband thought of him as highly as I did, and we both still do. He delivered my older son,and it broke my heart when he said that he was going back to Northeast Tennessee at my 6-week follow-up. The people where he works now are truly blessed! more

He takes his time and explains what's going to happen. He's not just in and out of the room like some doctors are, he takes his time and has even had to draw me pictures to explain to me a procedure he was going to be preforming on me. He delivered my first child and I have been with him ever since. Great bed-side manner. He's just an outstanding doctor!!!!!! Pros: not like being in a hospital Cons: not a lot of parking room more
