If it was not for the big difference in the price between Mediacom cable and Directv we would not be sticking with them after the service we had with setting up cable in our house. My husband found out that their cable and internet was cheaper so we decided to make the switch . First off the salesperson came over and was not very knowledgeable about the product. He seemed very unsure of what he was selling. And to add to that, he hardly acknowledged me, as my husband's wife, as I was sitting at the table with them.
We were then promised to have Mediacom guys with the Mediacom van install our cable. At least they showed up when expected (though I think that is a Mediacom guarantee)... then they installed stuff with a little more then a grunt.. They hardly spoke to anyone in the house.. and then started to leave the cable modem in the middle of our desk. After they could not help us set up our router for the modem.
If it was not for the fact that when I called their support I eventually got our computers to work with their system they would get a poor rating.
I really hope this is not a sign of things to come, or else we will be canceling ASAP.
