I am so happy that I decided to start taking back control over my life by visiting the Medi-Weightloss Clinics- Irmo location. Medi-Weight Loss of Irmo has been a truly rewarding experience for me. Since I am now in my sixties, I thought I would give dieting one last try, mainly to improve my health and quality of life. I had gained weight while taking care of my mother in her last few years and through my husband’s medical conditions. I felt that I was just trying to make it through the day and if food made me feel better, I was going to eat it. My cholesterol and blood pressure were up, as well as my weight, and I was diagnosed with adult, on-set diabetes. So in April 2011, I made up my mind that it was now time to work on my own health, improve my quality of life and just look and feel better. I had tried NutriSystems and Jenny Craig in the past, but this is much better, because you are eating your own food. When you eat prepared meals, you don’t think about your food choices, or learn to measure the quantities so when you go off the diet and now make your own foods, the amounts get bigger and bigger and you gain all of your weight back. My cholesterol and blood pressure are down significantly and I no longer have diabetes. My Cardiologist told me Friday that I no longer need to see him.
