I will never go to any of the Medcheck location ever again. They are always extremely busy and the staff move very slow. All of the staff will be sitting around talking, including the physician when there is a full waiting room. The receptionists are so slow and are never at the window to help and there are very few places to sit and wait. The physician takes a very long time to come in after you are taken back and have already waited in the waiting room for an hour and the physician is in and out when they finally come and explain nothing to you, don't listen or they rush you, and are not compassionate. The physicians don't understand what pain is or bad painful coughs are. I have lived in Indianapolis for 30+ years and have been in for several medical complaints and the service has gotten worse. The physicians never prescribe medication to help with pain or coughs. I had pneumonia and was told to take OTC cough medicine which didn?t help and then was advised to come back and I paid for another visit and more tests and waited for 3 hours just to be advised to take a different OTC med and more overpriced tests which confirmed the original findings and were not covered. Also, I had a fractured ankle and was given no pain medication, my ankle was double the normal size and black and blue mind you, and was given nothing. I understand some people abuse medications and I am glad they don't want controlled medication to get to the streets or diverted, but when a patient has a legitimate illness or injury, especially if it is verifiable, they should be willing to prescribe necessary medication but they do not, nor do they offer even if the OTC medications fail to help. I could understand if a patient comes in for a condition where there is no way to verify the pain, however, visible or verifiable pain should be in most cases sufficient for their physicians to prescribe necessary medications. I would recommend going somewhere else or wait for your doctor.
