Don't let the picture fool you! This is not what it looks like - they have adorable furniture inside and creme brulee candles that make you feel like you are at Anthro. I cannot recommend Madison Hampton enough, she is amazing! She does great color and will work with you to make you happy. She taught me how to scrunch/curl my hair which I have always wanted to do but never known how. Mecca is new salon home! more

Amy Simpson is amazing. Mecca is a great salon with excellent customer service. The staff is very friendly and professional and the atmosphere is very relaxing. Amy Simpson is my stylist but there is so much talent in one location you cannot go wrong. They always recommend quality products and prices are very reasonable. I have sent so many of my friends to Amy and they all have become loyal clients. I would recommend this salon to anyone. Worth the drive to our lovely historic district. more

Ive been going to Mecca for the past few years to see Amy simpson. She does amazing color (we even tried Navy low lights at one time) and her cuts are like none I have even had. All of the Girls at Mecca are fabulous and always very friendly and funny. Even Macey the receptionist is Great. It's worth the drive. Don't let the picture on the profile fool you. Mecca Hair Salon is a hidden gem located in the heart of historic downtown Georgetown. The atmosphere is cozy and down to earth and the staff is friendly and knowledgeable. I have seen some amazing work from the ladies at this salon. For the last three years I have been driving up from south Austin to see Tanya South. She is truly an A-list stylist, so talented and creative and she's always up on the latest techniques. Tanya can rock some serious hair!! I usually go in for a cut and color but this last time I got my hair straightened. Let me just tell you that my hair looks so shinny and smooth and feels amazing. After much searching and asking my friends with great hair cuts and colors where they get their hair done, I found Mecca Salon in downtown Georgetown. This great little bright and sunny shop has a friendly, professional staff and a hometown atmosphere with the cute antique dressing tables in the stylists' stations. Tanya is a talented artist both with cutting hair and highlights! I have been going to her for the past six months, and I always leave there feeling pretty and polished. And relaxed too, after her awesome neck and scalp massage. If you want a great look and experience, give Mecca in downtown Georgetown a try! Almost everytime I have had my hair done I hate it so I was expecting just another bad cut and colr but I got EXELLENT RESULTS I absolutely LOVED my hair, dont waste your money on someplace your not sure!
