Worst Experience Ever 12/29/2011

I went here for my second pregnancy as I experienced a stillbirth in my first pregnancy. This was by far the worst experience ever. My husband is a physician and we were appalled by the standard of care provided. I lost my second baby as a result of the lack of care I received at this 'high risk' institution. We will not be returning and are in search of a new perinatologist. Please avoid at all costs. more

SCARY...please reconsider 12/5/2011

I have left this office, this would of been the second child i had through them. I have a blood clotting disorder and i was extremely preclamptic with my last pregnancy, to where my kidneys shut down and i filled up with water. I saw a different doctor every time i went to them. When i asked who exactly would deliver me they said 'I do not know,, someone on the staff...'' turns out NO ONE on there staff delivered me Thank God there was a Dr. avaliable at SHC i didn't know her but at that point that was better than nothing...she delivered my baby at 35weeks 2 days. I thank God she was okay. However i was very sick in kidney failure and was admitted to the hospital 3 weeks before i actually gave birth. so so awful... They pumped me full of fluid i was not aloud to leave my room for 3 weeks which didn't help my blood clotting disorder since i wasent moving around. The drs came around once every few days...it was beyond bad. Today i tried to reach the triage nurse for PPA the line was busy called 3x the office secretary today informed me there was NO Doctors there today HELLO! its Monday!! where are they?? I left a message with the secretary who told me ''I dont know if he can call back tomorrow hes really busy'' WHAT AM I PAYING YOU 4000 DOLLARS A APPOINTMENT FOR??! they have called me to reschedule me twice do to a Doctor being out of the office...i haven't seen a Doctor for 2 months and i had to bring that to there attention??? seriously....and i feel so so terrible for the woman below me comment my goodness...how awful!! they need to be shut down they are money hungry and there is NO! NO! special care involved is there huge price tag suppose to make me think they are good?? FORGET IT! PLEASE RECONSIDER !!!!!!!! I do not feel safe in there care at all...in fact im scared. Im moving doctors and wish i did a long!!! time ago! more

MOTHERS TO BE...BEWARE!!! 11/9/2011

MOTHERS TO BE...BEWARE!!! Phoenix Perinatal Associates is supposed to specialize in ""high risk"" pregnancy. I conceived triplets through IVF and was referred to them. Upon my first visit, I was assigned to Dr. Lin. I was comfortable with her and impressed with the office. After my first visit, I never saw her again. I had a total of 5 visits and had five different doctors. Each time I met someone new, it seemed as though they did not communicate with each other or even read my charts. For example, one doctor said I would need to take a glucose test at my next appointment, to determine gestational diabetes. I had already taken the test two weeks before with an abnormal result. There was never any extra testing or care; they didn't even give me a specific diet to follow. What I mean is my appointments consisted of urine test and ultrasound; pretty standard stuff (what is specialty or ""high risk"" care?) at outrageous cost. Luckily, I have excellent insurance, but to give you an idea, my average appointment cost was $4000. I experienced what I thought was a great pregnancy; no problems to mention other than gestational diabetes, which is common when carrying multiples. My last appointment was Tuesday, Aug 9th 2011in which they conducted the 3 1/2 hour diabetes test. Durning that appointment I told the new doctor that I had been feeling discomfort (sort of like I was running out of room and also had swollen ankles and feet.) I had to practically beg for a bed rest order to provide to my employer; to the point I felt like I was doing something unethical. My job entails standing on my feet all day and I just felt like it was getting difficult to do every day. 36 hours later, I went into labor at 23 weeks/ 1 day and all three of my children died. They never called with my test results. Phoenix Perinatal was contacted by the hospital staff and notified regarding the emergency surgery and death of my children. THEY NEVER EVEN BOTHERED TO CALL ME FOR A FOLLOW UP REGARDING MY TEST RESULTS OR TO SHED SOME LIGHT ON WHY MY BABIES DIED. I JUST CONTINUE RECEIVING BILLS. more
