Amazing store, what a find! Best vintage in Illinois! 11/12/2007

My first impression was that this store is so bright and clean, it's really unlike any antique store I have ever been in. I was surprised at the AMOUNT of quality items i saw, too. Everything is well kept, displayed nicely and the store smelled and looked really good, not like a musty old antique store. I also couldn't believe the VARIETY, if you're looking for it they probably have it! they have everything imaginable! I went in because i like vintage clothing and this was the first time I have been in the store--lemme tell you, WOW! I bought a dress and a vintage apron that were really cool and 50s. I can't believe this store is in the suburbs, I haven't even seen vintage this good downtown! And it's REASONABLE! Everything looked so clean and even though it was old it looked like it was never worn or used. just incredible. The prices were great, I've been to a lot of shows and this place definitely rivals the quality and high prices you see at the vintage show. The store owners were also very nice and the girl let me try on any of the clothing i wanted, which impressed me because usually they don't let you try on (or even touch) the vintage items. sometimes shop owners stalk you and bother you while you're shopping, but they made me feel very comfortable and welcome. Pros: friendly, clean, bright, lots of variety, great prices, awesome vintage clothing, (even mens stuff!) Cons: a little hard to see, not much parking. more

  • In Short
On a busy street next to a gas station, this antique shop is more than just breakables and dust. The brightly lit space with lots of windows invites locals with its extensive stock of costume jewelry, records, watches, furniture and kitchen supplies. Up front, women's clothing dating from the '20s to '70s--such as a brocade set or cocktail dress--captures the attention of vintage lovers.
