Terrible company, terrible product. Maryland Pools built the pool at our old house, and despite some minor issues, we were relatively satisfied. We moved to a new house and had them again buld a pool for us. What a mistake! Since day one we've had issues with the plastering, tile and coping. Our pool is less than eight years old and for the past two years we've had issues with the plaster becoming pitted which allows for a particularly hard to treat form of algae to grow. The coping is loose and tiles are falling off, both in the pool and in the spa they also built. The spa doesn't hold water. We have to fill it daily. We've called many, many times and get nowhere with them. They did send their sub contractor to look at the tile. We were told it would take up to $12,000 to fix the problem, for an 8-year old pool! We hired Maryland Pools, gave them a deposit in the winter, and were introduced to our job supervisor (whom we never saw or heard from again). They started the pool in March and disppeared. They would not return phone calls or emails. They finally completed our pool 2 1/2 months behind schedule (basically, a summer behind schedule). They also did not complete things that were in the contract, but skimped on all the details. What a terrible experience! Cons: Do not do work as promised, do not respond to phone calls more

Maryland Pools looked like a great deal at the time but turned-out to be far from it. After signing the initial contract, MP kept raising the price of the agreed to quote and finally submitted a design which was nothing like we asked for. After complaining, MP simply stopped replying to our calls until we we're forced to cancel the pool. Although ground was never broken, and our pool was never designed, the downpayment is still in their hands and they will not respond to our mail nor calls. I would recommend avoiding Maryland Pools and the problems we've encountered. Cons: Will not deliver, Cost overrun, No communication more
