Great hidden gem 10/8/2010

Wow! Another hidden gem! Tucked in among the monster new bars on 9th Avenue, this one is easily overlooked. Good thing too. Otherwise it might become popular and lose its charm. Nearly empty on Thursday at 9:30, this place was so relaxed and friendly... it was as if they didn't care for anyone else except those few of us who were sitting right there. more

Great beer, great people- an excellent find! 5/1/2009

This place is terrific! It's hard to find a place with a 'local' feel so close to Penn Station, but this place is awesome!! Super friendly, great food, good beer selection. Went with a bunch of friends, and ended up staying 'til the wee hours- awesome jukebox, too :) Definitely going back to enjoy the beer garden!!! more

Great Pub Atmosphere and Beer Garden 8/15/2008

I love this place especially in the summer . You're walking along crazy 9th avenue and would never know that in the back is a beautiful beer garden (trees and All) Pros: Beer Garden, Inexpensive Cons: Snow and Rain more

Great Happy Hour! 8/15/2008

Went there before I was going to a concert. Had great happy hour. Sat outside and enjoyed the weather... Seemed like a backyard party. I love the beer choices too... since Im a big beer fan. This place was packed with great people- because of the great food and drink!!! Going Back! Pros: Perfect Bar before concerts more
