First of all the menu looks great and everything in the restaurant sounds fabulous. However I won't be able to tell you how it actually tastes other than a couple appetizers since we never actually got to eat there in any of our 3 attempts. Attempt # 1 we waited 2 hours for a table and never got one. FAIL \r
\r
Attempt #2 we actually got a table and 1 round of drinks. All seemed to go well and when the first round of drinks was finished the waitress never came back. Mind you this was lunch and it wasn't that busy. had she offered another round of drinks it wouldn't have been so bad. So after an hour of waiting for the food (nothing more than sandwiches) while the other tables around us were served we paid for the drinks and left. FAIL\r

Attempt #3: Still salivating over the raw bar choices and stuffed steelhead trout we made a third attempt. When we first went it was to be for drinks and apps. All went well in the bar the staff was friendly and prompt. The martinis arrived and they weren't dirty, but the problem was corrected quickly. This however is where the good experience ends. \r

I was greeted with PG county attitude when I asked for a table for six and after being told No I was finally offered a table an hour later. Ok no big deal we will wait and have apps. So I agree and head back to the bar. We ordered calimari and crab/shrimp dip which were served relatively quickly. The calamari was served in a huge bowl and made the table of 6 think we were getting a good portion. Nope most of the bowl was filled with cabbage and we each had maybe 4 pieces of calamari. It was overdone and not at all worth it especially with the Ragu sauce they put on the side. Then the crab dip... whoa is that what that is supposed to be. They serve a ramekin no bigger than the one you dip your buffalo wings in with a watery dip with some frozen salad shrimp on top. And then the bread they give you with it is cold nasty and had a taste reminiscent of cardboard that had been fried a day earlier. Even the shredded parmesan cheese on top was crappy.\r

7:30 arrives and she hands us our bar check which was not small and we await the table. At 7:45 she checks for us and I can tell from the expression on her face that all is not well. She comes back to inform us that the table we are waiting on still has people in it from 2 hours ago and they have paid their check but are still sitting there. Ok having a restaurant background I can understand but offer a solution not excuses. We tell the waitress about our prior experiences and she says she will send a manager. As she is speaking to us another patron tells her that after two hours they were done waiting and were going elsewhere. \r
\r
Finally we see the hostess manager stumbling through the bar and she informs us our table is ready. The kitchen manager arrives to apologize and say that they had a kitchen meltdown and were running out of food and were down a chef. Apologies do not put food in my mouth, but disasters are understandable. Tell your customers this so they can go elsewhere. At this point we were finished and walked out. \r

After tasting the sub-par appetizers I was not disappointed that I wouldn't get to try the main dishes. I've had better food and service from Chili's. Never again. \r

Apparently I have to give a rating so it will post otherwise it would get a zero.
