I was staying in the surrounding area when my hotel recommended this restaurant for excellent seafood. It happened to be my birthday and I had 2 other friends that flew into town to visit with me. When we first arrived it was 9:00 and we were told that the restaurant would be closing at 10, adament about putting us in the bar area ""so we could stay as long as we wanted."" It seemed as if immediately they were ready to be out of there and we were wasting their time. As we sat down our waitress was very irritated that we were in HER section and seemed as if she could care less how she treated us. First, we were told that it ""was too late"" for the crab legs.......baffled, we ordered lobster. She then huffed that ""she didn't know if that was available either."" I sat there and said, ""well, can you at least check for us""....she stormed off, then returned telling us that it was ok. I then asked her what the soup options were......she responded bitterly, saying ""I don't know, they change everyday."" How were we supposed to know or care that the menu changed daily? She then yanked the menu from my hands before I even completed my order. My mouth dropped. She then proceeded to slam silverware in the corner of the room. I discreetly asked for the manager to the hostess. He listened and promised us another waiter. We then witnessed the same rude waitress congregating with the entire waitstaff......saying enough to allow the group to all glare over at us. Then, the new waitress leaves the gossip group and comes up to our table. She then proceeds to ask us ""where are we from?"" along with a couple of more personal questions. I was appalled at the disrespect and told her we were leaving. She smiled as if they all got what they wanted.....which obviously, was to go home. Being it was my birthday, I wished that I had at least ordered the lobster, eaten and not given a tip so the lazy waitstaff would actually have to work. The rudest I have ever been treated in a restaurant, ever.
