When you walk into McKinney's you may think you've walked back into the 50's. It has a charming, relaxed feel to it that's more about community than money. The pharmacist, I assume Mr. McKinney, has an outrageously strong southern accent and likes showing it off to anyone who walks in. The place rarely has many customers, but there always seems to be someone in just to chat and they're accommodated with real gusto. The individual service comes in handy when you do get drugs here, though, because Mr. McKinney will take the time, in fact insist that you take the time, to understand the meds and any special directions they may have. The store also sells some of the regular drug store products, like cosmetics and cards.
