McDonough District Hospital

My child hit her head while snow sledding and was unconscious. We were terrified, but the staff comforted her with a teddy bear and the doctor was very fast, gentle and informative. I knew that if they couldn't help her, they would get help immediately. As it turned out, the damage was minimal and she was able to go home the next day. Everyone was very kind to us, helped us fill out the paperwork and so forth and kept us aware of her condition. I can't say enough about how professional and fast they were. My daughter is fine now and still has her teddy bear. more

This is a hospital that is in Central Illinois and thankfully\r is near some bigger facilities that you can be sent to\r for futher necessary services.\r \r The employees are sometimes not so friendly, and all seem\r to be disgruntled about working. This is not fair totally, because\r there are many good employees but the ones that are so rude\r seem to ruin it for the ones that like and need their jobs.\r \r They seem to offer services needed for routine needs, but they\r need to try and get some specialty docs to come her too.\r It would be great to have an ENT doctor in this community.\r \r The Admitting department is wonderful. All the girls are so\r nice and seem to be very good at helping the patients. It is\r also nice in the xray department. \r \r The surgery department also has many caring staff there.\r \r It seems that the ER is in need of some customer/patient\r service workshops to help them in their need.
