Good: I loved getting to be there when the boys at McCoy's cast my fiancees ring. Watching them melt the gold with the torch and use there casting equipment was a blast! I got to hold the raw metal and see how it was worked into a the shiny ring that she now wears on her hand.. Bad: It wasn't instantaneous. I can't expect to get custom immediately but boy wouldn't that be a neat trick.. Improvements: Nothing. they have been making things by hand for almost 40 years and a couple years back started to design with the computer to help keep up with today's technology. fortunately, they still do most of the work with their hands and the workmanship shows their decades of experience.. Other: this industry is a dying art. I see the strip mall shops that sell outsourced rings from china. my job relies on people buying local, i hope others realize that and continue to get something that is unique versus a mass produced item..
