Dr. McClain is an excellent doctor! I worked for him for 3 years, and during those three years he always showed a genuine concern for his patients, his staff, and his family. Dr. McClain is a very family oriented person which allows him to be as effective as he is with his patients. Dr. McClain never changed and was a delight to work for. I have recommeded many patients to Dr. McClain's office even in my absence which were very satisfied with him as a professional. He has superb bed side manners along with a winning personality. He is a doctor that can be trusted in all aspects. I don't see him as just a doctor, but also as a friend. He never showed anger but greeted everyone with concern and patience. Doctor McClain never gives up on his patients. If one has a condition that seems to be difficult to figure out he will continuously do research to try an resolve the problem, and will not stop until he gets to the bottom of it. This review is coming from someone who once was on the inside looking in. With that being stated, this is legit information. Sometimes people do a great job of pretending to be something that they aren't. Dr. McClain is AWESOME! With a true love for his profession. What you see is what you get 24/7 from him. We started using Dr McClain when we were pregnant with our first child. Seems like Lufkin has a severe shortage of pediatricians and none of the one's we do have suited me. Dr McClain is a family practice doctor. He was at the hospital every day we were there just like a pediatrician would be. He has such a sweet nature about him. When you go to him for visits he will stay with you until you get all of your questions answered. Sometimes you do have a long wait for him. But, that's just because he treats all of his patients with the same time and patience he does you. I really like the fact he's not really quick to prescribe antibiotics. He believes in letting illnesses run there course. But, if it does need immediate attention he's quick to give it. He's only a phone call away for us.
