Top-notch work; Great Color Advice! 10/7/2011

I have hired McCartney Painting for two jobs - interior and exterior - and they have been fantastic. The quality of their work is top-notch and they are truly a pleasure to work with. We struggled with choosing an exterior color for our multi-owner condo building. Paul took the time to understand the look that each party was trying to achieve and custom blended a color that hit the mark. We have received many compliments on the color. They are punctual, neat and communicate very clearly with respect to cost control. I will certainly hire them again for our next project. more

Great Paint! 9/8/2010

I envisioned these great blue doors & thanks to Kieron and crew at McCartney Painting, I have them. The rental unit was a mess with both bedrooms requiring extra prep due to wallpaper removal. Now you can't tell they were ever papered.The back staircase was powerwashed before being painted & looks great! He's not cheap but worth it & you don't have to pay twice to have a bad job redone. more

Great experience 5/6/2010

I would recommend Kieron and his team to anyone in need of a painting contractor. I have used many contractors over the years and this has been my best experience. His team which can include carpentry as well is meticulous and thorough abd they always do what they ask of them.I would definitely use them again. more

Professional & Reasonable 4/16/2010

Kieron and his crew did the exterior of our house while we were away on Spring Break. How fantastic it was to come home and our house was complete. He helped us figure out color schemes and what to stay away from. Another bonus for us was that his bid included the cost of scaffolding and using only the highest grade of paint. We are very happy with the end result and look forward to doing our interior with his company in the future. Pros: efficient, detail oriented and timely more

Building home value, with interior paint 4/2/2010

We contacted Kieron McCartney after a positive referral. Kieron was keen on the job, flexible and obviously a pro. He also had excellent referrals for a skilled starving artist and a great carpenter to cover aspects of the project apart from the painting. Kieron's foreman on the job, Paul Freeman, was a very agreeable guy with very careful attention to the details. The entire interior of our home was stripped and painted over the course of about a week. This allowed for minimal disruption in our lives during the process, with very little other than fresh paint at the end of the day to suggest that a crew had been hard at work. Both Kieron and Paul worked with our preferences and had tactful suggestions when we strayed too far from reality. The house looks beautiful. Cheers! Reliability and quality 2/27/2010

McCartney Painting did the exterior of my house. They were on time and did a quality job. They gave personal service and followed through on details. For instance, they solved a leaking problem in our center patio. They also found an area with dry rot and returned after the rotted area was replaced (several weeks after the rest of the painting job was finished) and repainted that area at no extra charge. I recommend McCartney painting and plan to use them again for future painting needs. more

Amazing Service, Beautiful Work 2/16/2010

Have you ever tried to paint the exterior of your house yourself? We did. Let's just say that was one of the dumbest ideas we ever had. Our progress was sloooow. Next thing you know, it's December and we have a partially-painted house. And a big Christmas Eve party planned. We heard about McCartney painting through Cole Hardware's referral service, which we've always had fabulous results with. And so the guys come out and they say they'll be done in time for me to not be a humiliated hostess with a splotchy, unfinished house on Christmas Eve. Then it rained. And rained. And to keep their promise, these amazing guys worked through the whole weekend. The Mr. and I were bowled over by their professionalism. Lovely people, beautiful work, reasonable prices. Highly Recommended! 2/11/2010

We recently remodeled our entire house. We decided to use McCartney painting for all of the finish work, both interior and exterior. They painted every room in the house. They restored and painted all original window and door casing, base boards, crown molding, cabinets, and built in shelving. They did a fantastic job! I highly recommend this company. For the level of quality, the prices are extremely competitive. Kieron is very professional and very enjoyable at the same time. His team was dependable, efficient, and always a pleasure on the job! We will use McCartney painting again this spring to repaint our deck. more

Just had the exterior of my home painted by McCartney Painting. I can not tell you how happy I am with the job they did. Excellent prep work and attention to detail. When I would arrive home from work and McCartney Painting was done for the day, paint chips/scraping where swept up, painting supplies set aside...... exceptionally neat. more

Excellent Painting 7/3/2009

This was our first experience with this painter, and it was fabulous. We highly recommend them. For us, they did both inside painting and outside. The work and the clean up after was excellent. Our painter was Greg, and he is very knowledgeable with great attention to detail. He makes helpful suggestions and was very patient with us. We had out-of-town guests at the time but his presence was never a problem. Pros: Attention to detail Cons: None I can think of more

Kieron McCartney and his crew just painted our 1886 Eastlake Victorian house in SF and he did a fantastic job from start to finish. They were always on time and very clean and polite. They went beyond our expectations in doing a great job. Any special requests I made were never a problem, Kieron took care of everything, always focusing on the solution. They were a real joy to work with. He even video'd parts of the house that I could not possibly see showing me the work before, during and after. They were amazing. I found their price to be fair and the job far exceeded our expectations. We were so happy that we plan to use them on any future painting work we have. They are the absolute best and we highly recommend them. You won't be disappointed! more

Exterior Painting 11/11/2008

McCartney painting recently painted the exterior of our home and we couldn't be happier with the results. From giving us a reasonable estimate to the completion of the job, they made the process of painting the house hassle free. The crew came by the day before they were scheduled to start to go over the job and discuss the details and confirm the color scheme with us. The prep work and painting were done professionally and the final result was excellent. A little extra work was needed but the owner discussed this with us ahead of time to get our agreement before proceeding. I would recommend them without hesitation. more
