I think this place is a one of its kind. The same employees have been there for years. It is family owned and operated. Fred is a cool cat. Service is fast. I think the take out order review is outragious. This is a diner with an extremely small kitchen and not equipped to handle any more than it already does. It is not that the business is not welcomed but customers that are at tables, sitting, and waiting take priority. This is not a drive through or a banquest facility. We love our many many loyal customers and we welcome everyone. McLeans has not been around for 30+ years for no reason. I work not far from McLeans. We ordered their breakfast TO GO almost everyday. When we called one morning we had 5 orders to go and the lady on the phone said that she couldnt do 5 orders that the most they could do was 4. She was making all this up as she was talking, almost like she didnt want our business, and what business doesnt want FIVE orders. So we ordered seperately and then 3 of us went over there and one of the ladys got mad at us. She said "found a way to beat the system huh?" She slammed down the ticket and said "no one is going to be able to order take out anymore." We called them and told them they were'nt going to be getting our business from work or personal again. This place has been around forever and is a regualr favorite for weekend breakfast. You'd better get there early though. This is strictly unpretentious good cooking for breakfast and lunch (closes at 3PM) and they serve good home cooking at reasonable prices. more

Nina, Shirley, Malisa, Debbie (owner) do everything they can to make you feel like you are eating at home. A regular for many years I still get the feeling of "getting away" from the daily grind just entering the rubbing door(s). Every dish is always fresh and obviously home-made more

McCleans sevres REAL food in a freindly atmosphere and doesn't try to impress people with how much NASTY GOURMET JUNK and STUPID COMBINATIONS OF STUFF they can come up with. I will choose McCleans over any eatery in the entire area. And the prices are great, too. more
