McGuire's Hearing and Audiological Services was established nearly 40 years ago, and today is owned and operated by third generation McGuire's family member, David Carr.
Like his parents before him, Dave's business philosophy of customers come first is most evident when he cares for patients as a New York State licensed hearing specialist. In fact, all McGuire employees recognize that patient commitment is the company's primary responsibility. With this tenet in mind, our staff members devote themselves to optimal patient care and exceed NYS and federal requirements for continuing education.
McGuire's five locations enable McGuire's staff members to better support a range of patients within our region.
McGuire's maintains relationships with a variety of hearing device manufacturers, including Audibel, Oticon, Resound, Phonak, Starkey and Ear Q. Because we are independently owned, our professionals are able to prescribe the best device based upon the individual needs of each patient. Our relationships with several manufacturers permit us to choose process ahead of product, and to select the hearing instrument best suited for our patients.

* The Completely-in-the-Canal (CIC) - is the smallest, least visible custom hearing device. These aids are very compact, yet have enough power to be suitable for most hearing losses.
* In-the-Canal (ITC) - is larger than a CIC, but still small enough to be cosmetically appealing with enough power to fit a wide variety of losses.
* In-the-Ear (ITE) - is the most common of all hearing aid styles and is made from a custom mold of the patient's ear which fit securely in the outer ear. The I.T.E. offers easy positioning and adjustment by the user as well as a variety of options such as a telephone coil, which helps with communication on the phone.
* Behind-the Ear (BTE) - is connected to a custom-made ear mold & offers special programming and power as well as flexibility for use with telephones & assistive listening devices (ALDs). This model is suitable for virtually any loss, even the most profound. ALDs are also useful for those patients who experience recurring ear infections.
* Open Fit - The newest advancements in hearing devices allow us to provide an Open Fit in our custom hearing instruments. The Open Fit permits a natural resonance in the ear.
