Recently, I brought my Trailblazer into McElveen Chevrolet for a scheduled appointment (routine oil change, tire rotation, & 27-point inspection) after confirming said appointment the day before. My overall experience with the dealership after waiting for an HOUR AND A HALF for maintenance, in which any competent ASE-certified mechanic can perform in a third of that time, is that this dealership operates under the assumption that a smile and nice attitude make up for any lack of professional courtesy towards my own business schedule in performing work in a reasonable amount of time! Lest I forget to also mention that not all services were performed (the 27-point inspection, not done, was a big part of my decision to have a Chevrolet mechanic look at it in the first place), in addition to the fact that when inquiring about the nationally-advertised GM Goodwrench service specials ( the ones currently running online, on tv and in radio ) the cashier responded by giving me a blank look and shrug (about a big promotion her own company is running).... I left very unsatisfied. Speaking with the service manager afterwards didn't help: after replying to the same question several times that "yes, the staff was nice and friendly" my impression that "being nice" is what matters most to McElveen Chevrolet was further reinforced. A smile and good attitude do go a long way in making and keeping customers, but not at the expense of efficiency and respect of your customers time. That, unfortunately, is the reason McElveen Chevrolet has lost my future business.
Pros: nice and friendly.......
Cons: ..... extremely slow service, doesn't finish all work
