The food overall taste pretty much out of a can and the cook tries to put some favor in it, no luck. The Handicap parking is terrible, spaces are on such an angle that when you try to get out of your car you can fall and roll down the hill. Not sure this spaces comply with ADA rules for handicap parking. It gives you the impression that we don't want handicap here because we will have to accommodate you. Sorry not my place to go. Not recommended more

Do not go here.rubbery,greasy fried oysters,grisley roast beef poboy, and awful beigiets.this aint nawlins! Just nasty. Unattentive wait staff. more

Good Lunch Specials 11/28/2009

My wife,daughter and I stopped in for lunch. Between us we had the crab po-boy, oyster po-boy, and fish sandwich and all were very good. The po-boys came with gumbo which I felt was just a bit slimy but it tasted good. The fish sandwich came with FF which were semi breaded and were excellent. The deserts were good, not great and the wait staff was very good. I would go back. Pros: Good Seafood Sandwiches Cons: A bit crowded more

McElroy's on the Bayou is an upscale restaurant with an awesome view overlooking the water. The menu is mostly seafood, and the prices are a little high. more

Not too good food 7/15/2007

I have eaten at McElroys on three different occasions and I have never had a good meal there yet. I find it to be on the pricey side and the food in my opinion is not good. The scenery is nice, but you cannot eat the scenery. I won't be going there again. more

Atmosphere and great food! 6/24/2006

The menu here is mainly seafood with a great variety. I like the idea that the seafood can be fried or broiled. The meals are plentiful usually starting with a large, cold, salad with choice of dressing. Usually the service is best when not too crowded. This restaurant has a fantastic view no matter what time of day. The entire back area is glass enclosed with a patio if you care to dine outside. The prices are consistent with the area and not pricey being a touristy area. Bettter pricing at lunchtime but the food is just as plentiful. more
