I purchased a used vehicle from this dealership around May 2006. This was my first time dealing with a dealership and I must say that I will think thrice before again returning to one. I can say for sure that I will NEVER step foot on this dealership's grounds again.
I could write a book about my negative experience, but I will sum it up this way in the interest of convenience.
My expectations:
-Being schmoozed by a pushy salesman; the stereotypical used car salesman
-Spending more than I would pay if I were buying from an individual
-Not a perfect, but reliable car (we were looking in the price range of $5000.00-$7000.00 so knew we couldn't get our hopes too high)
What I got:
-Financing at a decent percentage rate considering my poor credit (the ONLY positive thing that came out of this whole experience)
-Being swindled by a pushy salesman; the stereotypical used car salesman; who in my opinion took advantage of a low-mid income, young, couple who were in a bind
-A car that cost about $3000.00 more than I had wanted to spend AND has multiple issues that are costing us hundreds of dollars (I'd be ok w/ the price if we weren't having to put so much money into it repeatedly after the purchase)
-A salesman (Bill Urbanski) that refused to return my phone calls when I called about my concerns after the sale was completed
-A car that I could not drive for about 5 days during the 1st 2 weeks I had it due to problems
-A salesman (Bill Urbanski) and a finance department that told me during negotiations that purchasing a warranty on the car was not an option, but then chided me for not buying one when I called with problems
-False representation in that I was lead to believe that I was buying a Used car, when in actuality I bought an Economy Lot car (the car was listed on the Used Car section of the dealership's website NOT the Economy Lot section). Used cars go through thorough inspections while Economy cars are simply driven down the street enough to make sure that they are not so in need of repair that they could cause an accident or completely break down the first time the buyer drives it.
I try to tell myself that this is similar to what could've happened had I bought the car from an individual. However, you just expect more from a dealership....at least I did.
