Not only does this place have amazing service, but it has the best food in Steamboat Springs. \r

My wife and I were on an anniversary trip during mud season in Steamboat. Unfortunately, that means that over 50% of the eateries and shops are closed, which makes it difficult to find a place to dine. After stopping at 5 places listed in the local eating & attractions magazine and calling 4-6 more, all of them closed, Im sure that you would agree that it was pretty discouraging for a very hungry pair. So, we decided to stop at the first place that looked like it was open. \r

Mazzola's was it. \r

It doesn't look like much from the outside. Sporting only a small red awning and a single door, its curb space is very limited. However, we were extremely surprised to find extraordinary made-from-scratch-daily food, fantastic service, and a pleasant atmosphere. \r

Out of a week long stay, we were there for at least three meals and couldnt find anything as good in the entire town. So, for just stumbling on an open door, we definitely will make it a point to stop back in every time we're in town (which is at least twice a year).\r

Mazzola's is a definite MUST for anyone wanting to find a great place to eat in Steamboat!
Pros: Great food and excellent service.
