Definitely NOT WORTH THE PRICE! The garlic bread didn't have any garlic, only cheap artificial cheese sprinkled on top. In addition, it arrived cold and as hard as a crouton. The lasagna didn't have any ricotta cheese, was very sour (like green olive juice) and the meat tasted as if it was out of a can. Completely inedible! The Alfredo sauce was flavorless with very little prosciutto and canned mushrooms. Overall, the food quality is very poor. more

Very good meat special pizza. The toppings were abundant. Although the crust was cooked well done, the pizza was still a little soggy, and not crisp. more

1 and 1/2 hours and never got my order. I even called 1 hour in, and they said it was "on it's way". Ended up having to go out to some restaurant to eat. more

Mazzarino's pizza is excellent, and the few pasta dishes we have tried also are great. Sometimes we pick up, and sometimes we select delivery... delivery is always fast and friendly. Sometimes they overlook notes in the "Special Instructions" section of Eat24Hours. While pizza is a value, some items -- including the delicious scampi appetizer, which is only 5 pieces! -- are overpriced. Great cannoli! more

Always hot! The veggie lasagna is to die for. Great portions, great customer service if there's ever an issue (rarely), their pizza is amazing!!! Perfect balance of herbs and spices in the sauce, and nicely coating on the toppings!!!!! Our new favorite Italian joint. more

One of the greatest Lasagna i have ever tasted. Which i do not throw that title around very easily!! I am a very picky when it come to flavor. At first glance, I was beyond satisfied with the portion, the preparation, and the food temperature. The sauce tasted so rich, not watery at all. You can taste the different seasoning which complemented each other, unlike the typical cases where you end up ordering oregano and pepper with a side of lasagna. I also tried the calzone. At first sight, very happy with preparation and the temperature. the size of the calzone was decent, but I just wish it was came with a bigger option to share between 2 people. As soon as i had a bite, it was amazing. The crust was soft, the cheese was still hot and melted, and once again... that marinara sauce!!! Keep up the good work Mazzarino's. more

The Pizza with Garlic and Herb crust is fantastic! 5/17/2007

Not the place for an italian dish, but the pizza is fantastic. Get it with their garlic and herb crust, side of marinara and some garlic bread will arrive. A high carb delight. It's even better the next day, cold with a can of Coke. more

This is the worst ""Italian"" place I have ever seen! 5/6/2007

Anyone who can boil water can apparently become an Italian ""cook"" here. This place is awful on so many levels! Poor service, long waits, not too clean. Spaghetti Bolognese, not a complicated or uncommon item on an Italian menu, was delivered by an unbelieving waiter who only shrugged when I asked just what had happened. This was terrible...a plate of overcooked spaghetti with a variety of left over vegetable and a few chuncks of dry hamburger....like a collegiate dinner on the run...truly, this place is the pits..and I am not picky... Pros: cute, East Coast style red gravy place Cons: horrible food, bad service, not overly clean more

RUDEST TREATMENT I'VE EVER EXPERIENCED IN A RESTAURANT. Can't remember if the food was any good. 1/13/2007

There's no shortage of places in the valley to get a decent Italian meal. That's why the unbelievably rude treatment we were given last night is so shocking. Not just to our table, but to everyone in the restaurant. Pros: Acceptably decent Italian food. Cons: Rude and offensive treatment. more

Good pizza 11/13/2006

I really like the pizza here. The crust is thick on the ends and gets thinner toward the middle. The toppings are large and are good quality. What really stands out is the oooey gooey cheese that is so soft & creamy tasting, definately not your ordinary mozzerella. No matter what size pizza you order, they cut it into eight slices. If you order the XL size, beware!!! It's really big; it's hard to get it into your car & the box won't even fit in my refrigerator!! They also have good minestrone soup and garlic bread. Pros: the pizza and garlic bread Cons: the service is slow more

Average Italian Fare, Pricey, Quiet Atmosphere 7/20/2006

We went on a Friday night and the restaurant was 1/4 full at 8:30p. The wait staff was polite. The food came out quickly. The eggplant parm was alright. The spinach fettucini was tasty as was the marinara. An order of meatballs (2) @ 4.95 and were of average size and taste (roughly 1 1/2 inches in diameter). The bill came out to $46 with tip for 2 people (1 beer & 2 main dishes). Though the atmosphere was overall pleasant and wait staff nice, the convenience didn't out weigh the bill and average fare. more

NEW DISAPPOINTMENT 5/27/2006

I usually would dine here 2-3 times weekly and it has been going down hill. Either the staff has been cut or the waiters just don't care as they all sit in the kitchen talking and watching TV. The food can be enjoyable but they have lost their neighborhood edge to other Italian restaurants as of May 28, 2006. They have done a 20% increase on prices putting them out of range for a neighborhood rest. They charge $3.00 for delivery and I was told NOT ONE PENNY goes to drivers for gas increases etc. Overall not worth the cost. Pros: average food Cons: poor service, over priced more

Good pastas! 4/23/2006

After seeing an ad in the paper about this place, we thought we'd give it a try. Went on a late Sunday afternoon...great time to go...and had the place to ourselves and just a few others. The pastas were great! Had the Carbonara and a light pasta with bow tie pasta, peas, garlic and prosciutto. Also ordered a pizza, which was just okay. The garlic bread was awesome! Pros: Garlic bread more

Italian food done right 2/24/2006

My dining experience at Mazzarino's was very memorable. The homemade garlic bread is INCREDIBLE and comes complementary with every dine-in order. The staff were attentive and the food was dee-lish. I ordered the kitchen salad, a side of sausage and meatballs and the gnocchi with pink sauce--and then spiced up a bit. The pink sauce tasted out of this world. Apparently it is a hybrid of thier alfredo and (in my case) meat/marinara sauce. I'm a picky one with a leaning for the spicy and the cooks nailed it with a little added touch of garlic and tomatoes. Mixed up with the gnocci, every bite became jealous of the last... I suggest it with every taste-bud in my mouth! more

WOW - One of the BEST Italian Food Places EVER 7/7/2005

Italian food is my favorite, and I'm rather picky about it. Mazzarino's is one of the best places for your favorite, authentic, down-home Italian grub. SO GOOD. The dishes are killer and the bread is to die for. There are so many great staples here, I wouldn't know where to begin with the recommendations. Pros: Best Italian food, Great service, Prices more
