Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca

Good: The way that this track is approached by the wide variety of participants who come from all over the world, to take the challenges of this circuit, not an easy roundy-round kind of track, WORLD-CLASS, it shows... Always a great showing by all concerned. Bad: The way in & out could by a little better, but, was well managed by "SCRAMP" people, which are all volunteers, Just the sheer volume of people can be a bit much.... Not enough to spoil the event. Improvements: Most all issues have been well addressed by staff & management, a slight change in the actual track layout was done several years ago, along with a new racing surface, Much more traction, safer critical areas have already been done, Maybe some kind of seating on the inside hillside that is always crammed with spectators, the pathways used by these are a bit worn, I'd like to see some paving of these paths, would make getting around to the various turns would be better & safer... the rain ruts can be troubl. more

I have visited this Raceway on two locations to see the World Superbike races. The amenties of this raceway are fantastic. They offer bleacher seating with a big screen project television for you to see around the whole track. Not to mention if you do not want to pay for the seating you can line up at any part of the track, which the corkscrew is my favorite. We would always purchase the Paddock Passes so we would get to go backstage and meet the racers, and see their trailers. This is great raceway, if you get the chance check it out! more
