Charged $250 to remove a splinter from my thumb. It took the doctor all of 10 seconds. Called about lowering charge, wouldn't do it. I have gone here for years and will NEVER return. Rip off. more

after 10+ years im finally leaving. I should have left when the two good doctors left oh well i thought i was getting good care but the last few years were very frustrating, the last straw was last month after going thru several office visits for pain which i knew was more than a muscle they tried to get me to take this new massage therapy (600.00) out of pocket. first visit 265.00. well i was not prepared for that, iwas expecting a normal co-pay, well the week before they ordered a referrall to a specialist but would not referr me until AFTER the $$$$ teatment. anyway i got my owm specialist, and when i requested pain medication until i could get back in for follow up i was completly ignored.\r stephanie cut my anxiety med rx in half and wanted me to come in whatever she knows why i need it ive been on it 11 years come on. they call themselves providers what the ... does that mean. they are $$$$ thieves. i found a new doctor that actually examined me and took 45 minutes and more . i have ulcers , and inflamed ribs as well as a couple other things the speacialist found. they have let me suffer in pain and i feel pretty stupid for letting them string me along they will never get another penny out of me. oh well i guess ill shut up \r if you have time and money to throw away maxhealth is the place . shingles; really???? well i wasnt even gonna give em one star but it was required\r . well i more

I have been going to the doctors at Maxhealth since their Colleyville office opened back in the 90's. \r Every doctor - Dr. Bullard, Dr. Moorhead and Dr. Barsin, and every PA who I have been treated by is throrough, kind and caring in every way. I've never encountered a single problem scheduling an appointment, or with getting a refill. The staff and doctor even stayed late one snowy night while I made my way from Dallas for an appointment. The staff is always helpful and responsive to any issues that I need to raise. I would highly recommend this group to everyone. more

I felt compelled to write this review after seeing some negative reviews. I have been a patient of Max Health for two years. I have been seen by Dr. Morehead, who has a great bedside manner, and by Stephanie West, PA, who is the best provider I have ever been to. I really feel that she truly cares about my health, and when I am with her, I have her full attention. I cannot say enough good things about her. As far as MaxHealth being about profits, well, they have to keep a keen eye on the bottom line in order to stay in business. Believe it or not, the cost of being a physician is ridiculously high these days due to insurance costs, and many physicians are leaving their practices because of that. I too have found it annoying to have to go in for blood tests before getting my blood pressure and cholesterol medication refilled, but they are just being cautious, and it's usually only once a year if you get 90 day X 4 mail order prescriptions. You ought to be going in that often for a checkup anyway. Plus they open at 7:00am and even have Saturday appointments, so it's really not that inconvenient. As far as the administrative staff, that always seems to be the Achilles heel of any doctor office. I don't know why that is. That said, though, I have always found the administrative staff at Max Health to be very friendly and have never had a bad experience with them. more

I have been their patient for 5 years, I am switching today. I put up with them this long because their office is convenient. But they care more about profits than they do quality care. While the doctors are great, the Max Health policies prevent them from providing quality care. They are terrible about prescription refills, & often don't refill them on time. They want you in their office a lot. So if you are on a medication that you take every day, & you really need that drug & have been on it for years, good luck. They make it impossible to get a refill, & their process is very time consuming. You will spend A LOT of time just taking the many steps they require, to get a routine prescription refilled. And I'm not talking about anything that's controlled, just a prescription for blood pressure or cholesterol medication. It's a pain. Max health is in it for the money, they don't really care about your health, that's not their priority. more

From what I heard and read, the doctor's are great; yet as most of the reviews have highlighted, the first contact is the staff. Unfortunately, I can not spend my money where I feel unwelcome before I complete my initial greeting. A non-customer service staff, which is sad since in the medical profession you are there to greet your patient and make them comfortable. Cons: The initial contact the Staff! My husband and I have been going to this office for several years. We have always found the staff to be helpful and kind. I can usually get in for an appointment the same day (they have evening and Saturday hours too!) and the doctors and PA's have a good bedside manner and are very intelligent. I have always felt very comfortable in putting our heath in their hands. Their new office is very cool and decorated in such a manner that I don't even feel like I am at the doctor's office! I have been a patient at MaxHealth for 10 years & have had nothing but a great experience with their staff & doctors. I am able to get in quick & never wait long to see a doctor. I have gone to seen other doctors for various reasons & have never found an office more committed to providing quality care to all their patients. They have minimal paperwork for me to fill out, on-time appointments, an upbeat staff, & a great looking office. I feel wanted & welcome every time I enter or call their office. I visited this location for the second time today and received the same service as before. I was told by my doctor ""I don't have time for that I amtrying to get you out of here quickly!"" I never thought that I would hear such a thing from a doctor. I do not go to the doctor much, only when I have exhausted all other options and home cures. I am attempting to let everyone know that this office is the worst!!! Pros: Nice looking office. Cons: staff is the worst. more

I have seen Dr. Bullard and Dr. Moorhead and I like both of them well enough. they are very nice and listen to what you have to say and even take it into account when they make a decision. I alos really think Dr. Bullard is VERY easy on the eyes. \r Problems I have is he front office staff. They treated me horribly when I came in with some nasty pain. I wound up going to an old doctor I went to Years ago. My kidneys were failing and the front staff decided I didn't need to see a doctor the day I came in as a walk in that day.\r No telling what having to wait the couple extra days may have done to my kidneys. My sister had a similar problem just last weekend. She went in in considerable pain and the front dest woman decided it wasn't urgent care and she had to wait until monday. What a crock.\r Anyway. If they fix the receptionist issues, the place is great. Until then, I hope you don't have any urgent care needs if you go there. DR BULLARD IS A VERY WELL LIKED DR., HOW EVER, EVEN THE PERSON THAT RECOMENDED HIM TO ME STATED HOW BAD THE OFFICE STAFF WAS. THOUGHT I COULD HANDLE IT, BUT IN THE END YOU ONLY GET A FEW MINUTES WITH THE DOCTOR, AND THE UNPLEASANT TREATMENT FROM THE OFFICE STAFF WAS MORE THAN I COULD TAKE. I have been going to MaxHealth since I was 16! They are great! The entire staff is Awesome! My kids love them, and we get incredible service. \r \r MaxHealth doesn't just treat the illness, they treat the entire body, mind, and spirit! They are wonderful with my kids! My youngest who is almost 3 was the youngest patient they had 'in the books' for the last 2 years, and you could see the office light up when he came in, even when he was sick. The nurses know us, they genuinely care for my family! \r \r This office has allways treated us with the most precise treatments available. They listen to my conscerns, they are open to ideas and treatments I want to explore for each of the members in my family, and they are great at explaining things. They take their time with everyone that walks in the door, but you don't have to wait 2 hours to see the Doctor!\r \r They have a computer system, which sounds impersonal, but it takes away all the mess of paperwork, everything is logged in that system, and accessible. So if I forget that we are on a medication, it pops up, and there is less room for error. They also can list all of my symptoms much faster, it doesn't take an hour for them to write each symptom down, and they get more face to face time, and a more in depth exam with you as a result.\r \r Unless I am forced to move far away and have to take my family with me, I will not take any of us to another Doctor's Office!...
