Max & Erma's Restaurant

I lost my 2 very sentimental rings there! My family frequents M&E's in Downingtown and enjoy the food and prices. On June 3rd, however, I lost my 2 rings there (a ladies college ring - Rutgers College 1985 engraved with blue sapphire stone 14K yellow gold which I have worn for 30yrs and my grandmothers vintage engagement ring which she gave me when she passed away-the only item I had to remember her - a square diamond with two diamond chips on both sides -yellow gold with silver or platinum holding stones). I took them off before eating ribs and put them in my pocket where they fell out. I am heartbroken!! When I called to ask, the hostess was not very helpful - it felt like they did not check lost and found for me. Yesterday, I stopped by there to see if someone found them in restaurant or parking lot, but found locked doors as they are not in business anymore. I am really heartbroken now - please if anyone has found these, please let me know - I'll offer a reward. I know there good people out there to help! more

My husband and I had excellent service once we hit our table. Our only negative experience was with the three teenage airheads taking reservations. We were greeted by one and when I started to give her our name for our table, I was told only the one on the phone at the time could take it. Why 3 of them need to stand there and only 1 could write....well, judging by them, she might have been the only one who COULD write. Our server and the rest of the experience were exemplary. Definitely try ordering the chocolate cookies for dessert, which are brought hot from the oven. Pros: Comfort food desserts more

My wife and I went to this restaurant twice for lunch. We were generally pleased each time with our experience. The menu is pretty expansive, and the prices are reasonable.
