Incredible Way to Spend a Day 11/2/2008

Maudlslay Park is a lovely park situated along the Merrimack River. The trails are well kept however, marking the trails a little better would be a nice addition. Waundering thorough the grounds, having a picnic, off road biking, running or walking is the best way to enjoy a Sunday afternoon. One quandary I have: If dogs are allowed and waste bags are provided then why are horses able to defecate on the trails? It is quite a mess when you are walking and the feces are quite large and smelly (sorry had to add that because it really is a nuisance). I have to add that it was nice to have an off road biker ring a bell to let us know he was behind us. The woods is quiet and you usually do not hear them approaching and bikes no longer have bells or the custom of saying ""on your left"" or ""on your right"" has faded away so this was a welcomed gesture of manners. Al in all...Maudslay Park is beautiful! Pros: Scenic beauty, dogs allowed Cons: Horse feces on the trails more
