Mattress Plus

One star because we didn't go when it was open (please update info!!!!!)- Mattress Plus is closed on Sunday, which we discovered today after trekking out to Victoria. However, Mattress DEPOT was right next to it. We got great sales attention without the used-car salesman-pressure and a great price (better than if we had shopped in Houston). The quality of the mattress line they carry is comparable to Serta, Sealy, ect. Something for every price range here. Additionally, the queen set we chose had a $100 rebate on it. Delivery was 75 dollars, plus frame which was 49.99. Taylor Knight, the manager, applied the rebate to both charges and knocked down the delivery to 49.99 so we came out $25 ahead. Awesome. I must say I was hesitant after reading other reviews about this store. But knowing people rarely list good reviews on the internet I decided to go in and check them out anyway. I am glad I did. Not only do they have the best prices in town, they also had the best selection. I was able to get a Simmons Beautyrest King set for about 800 dollars. It sleeps great. They also were able to deliver it out same day which was very important because I had guests coming in that weekend and needed our old bed for the guest room. Delivery was outstanding as well. The guys moved my old bed into the guest room and even waited while I vacuumed up the dust bunnies where the new bed was going. They even helped me put on the bed skirt. Everyone was so helpful. It was oustanding service from the time I walked in to the store all the way to the delivery of my bed. I will continue to shop there. Pros: Easy to get to, Same Day Delivery more

We saw an ad that advertised a ortho pillowtop set for $199, so I asked my parents to stop by and pick them up for us while they were in Victoria...it sounds like a great deal, but it is not. Not only did they give us the wrong size box spring (which they so rudely tried to place that blame on us, saying they had to drive the right size one out to us on a busy day! We didn't make the mistake, but they tried to act like I should just accept the poor mattress because they had to fix their mistake), the bed they loaded up was not a pillowtop, it was a cheap version of a pillowtop called a Eurotop that only costs $169-$199 at most other matress dealers, and you won't have to deal with the arrogant salespeople. When I was in town, I went to the store to ask about why I did not recieve the product that was advertised , and also what was written on the receipt was not the brand received...the sales lady asked, ""What did I expect? I only paid $199."" (As if that amount of money is not worthy of a quality product) I continued by responding that I could purchase what was falsely advertised elsewhere for the same price, and then a tall man rudely treated me as an idiot by saying ""that he was going to show me the difference before he lost his patience""- talk about poor and rude service...I explained that I now undestood what the previous post was refering to and he yelled at me and told me to show him where it said they had rude service on the interent...the experience was frightful...the lady by the counter then told the man that she knew what I was talking about and began to talk bad about a customer...save yourself the hastle and shop somewhere else, you will end up with a better deal because this place places false ads and has the worst customer service I have ever seen, and they do not treat people with any type of respect. It explains the empty store. So if you are looking for a quality product and want to be treated like a paying customer...please go somewhere else. I have never written a review before this because i have never felt such rudeness from a company. Let just say if your kid is a kid who at times does not do what mom and dad say don't go in this store. Pros: accessible off the main road Cons: rude salespeople more
