The Best Mexican food in Dallas. 6/27/2007

This is some good eating. The quality of the food is superb and the Margaritas are the best. Menu selection is large and everything I?ve had has been excellent. They tend to get busy in the evenings and you may have to wait in line, but it?ll be worth it. more

Great food and atmosphere but what really sets Mattitos apart from the others is the service. Go to the bar before you sit and talk to the bartenders. They will remember you the next time you come in and treat you like family. Margaritas and Fajitas are the way to go but there are many other great TexMex options to choose from. more

Rumba's & Bob dip ! 3/29/2007

This is what all the other Mexian restaurants aspire to be. The bob armstrong dip is a layered queso that is not on the menu but is truly legendary. You have to ask the waiter to get it. The margaritas are tremendous and the Rumbaritas (limit two) are way to much fun . My favorites the baja shrimp and avocado enchiladas are outstanding. The restaurant is in a cool old home and you feel like your on vacation. more

Bob Armstrong is a must! 2/8/2007

Don't know what Bob Armstrong is? Well you'll just have to go to Mattitos and find out. Fun atmosphere, great food. Usually pretty busy so plan some time to relax, sip on a margarita and munch on some Bob Armstrong. Well worth your time! Pros: Great food & Fun atmosphere Cons: Almost have to valet but pretty prompt in getting you in and out. more

Best authentic Mexican in Dallas 11/24/2006

Sunday brunch is AMAZING - free mimosas and great food! The Bob Armstrong Dip has taken on a legendary status - they keep it off the menu which adds to the allure - but anyone who has been there more than once knows about it and orders it! horrible service rude hosteses at the front desk wil never got there again !!!!! valet parkiing is a joke even when I asked for silverware I did not get any !!!! Cons: service is awfful more

Don't miss out! Great food, margaritas and service for a great price! 7/11/2006

I love this place! We had the best time. The food is great with a wide variety to choose from made it hard decide. They have a dish called baja shrimp that will make me come back again and again. We brought the kids and the menu was served on an etch a sketch! It kept them busy and we were able to enjoy our dinner out. The margaritas are great, taste good and very reasonably priced. It was nice to enjoy a drink I wasn't paying $8.00 or more for! The waiter told me about a Sunday brunch tht offers complimentaty mimosas and champagne with tons of food and even a chocolate fountain. I will definetly be back. Pros: You get a great deal for a great price. Complimentary valet parking is great for downtown area Cons: wish they had a larger patio more

Ask for the Bob Armstrong dip, a big bowlful of salsa, sour cream, queso, ground beef and guacamole all mixed together. Not on the menu. Heaven with a basket of chips--but you won't have any room left over for dinner! more
