My roof began leaking before a year was even up. He charged me $1,800 to ""fix"" it and it began leaking again 9 days short of a year. He has not responded to any of my messages (you get a recording) or e-mails. The leak is going to get worse, especially since it is snowing like crazy. You can see in the photo where the ceiling has a hole in it from the leak.\r \r I just filed a complaint with MD DLLR. I also found out that while he had a license when he did the ""repair,"" His license was expired as of 1/9/14, when I called to check the status of his MD license. His D.C. license does not come up in the DCRA databases. I'm betting when I call there tomorrow, they will tell me his license is also inactive. I wouldn't recommend this guy for anything. I paid Matt Carrol to fix a leak in my roof. He charged me $1400.00. He wanted $1600.00 but came down to $1400.00. I asked him why it is so expensive and he said labor. I later found out that he has no employees. He is a one man show. He came out to fix the leak and he told me that he replaced a piece of flashing, hammered down the middle strip and caulked. It rained again a couple of days later and water poured into my family room. He came out again and the same thing happened. He came out 3 times in all and from that point on he wouldn't return my calls. I even e-mailed him. He is impossible to reach. He said that he would come out as many times as necessary but that is NOT the case. I have been calling him for weeks leaving him messages to no avail. As far as I am concerned he took $1400.00 from me for nothing. I paid to have my leak repaired and that didn't happen. I want my money back. Also, I have been told that he over charged me to begin with. I had to borrow the money to pay him. So now, I am paying money back to someone for a repair that didn't happen.
