This is a valet parking service, meaning you have to give them your keys. I had $11 in the closed console of my car when I got out of it (I know without a doubt, because I briefly opened it to find my lipgloss, saw it in there, thought to myself I should maybe move the money, touched it as I contemplated moving it...but I was in a major hurry, so I told myself not to worry about it and closed it back up).\r

As soon as I got the car back, I checked the console. No money. I told the valet attendant, who insisted it wasn't him (I wasn't blaming him). I asked the attendant if they leave the cars open, he explained they leave them unlocked with the window down. \r

I asked to talk to the manager, so he got the manager's attention for me. The manager insisted he trusted his guys. I told him I wasn't worried about the money so much as I wanted him to know that this happened. He again insisted he trusted his guys. What, was I making it up or something...? He said if I parked there again tomorrow he could give me a discounted rate...but I wouldnt have a reason to park there tomorrow or anytime soon.\r

Facts are facts - money was there when I left the car with them and not there when I picked it up. I am just glad I didnt have anything else in there worth stealing. I wouldnt recommend trusting these people with your keys. \r

The one around the block on I St NW was fine last time I parked there. It's worth the effort of driving around the block.
