Masters Family Dentistry

Let me start off saying that as far as cleanings i never had any problems... But Masters insisted that i take care of some cavities that were small. So i did (but they weren't bothering me at all) and now i have had pain and problems since... they sent me out after checking my bite saying i needed a root canal... i went and got a second and then third opinion ended up my bite was off (hitting hard) which was causing the pain. (masters said it was fine) so no i wasn't about to go back and argue that they were wrong! So i went to a different dentist and had the work done. I had to pay out of pocket for this so i asked Masters to adjust my bill since they told me my bite was fine and sent me out to a endo. I was met with a rude receptionist by the name of well it started with an ""H"" and she said i should of went back there and let them (the people that told me my bite was fine) fix it and refused to work anything out with me. I would not recommend this dentist to anyone. Crappy work and even crappier attitudes! more

Strangely enough, The Masters Family Dentistry I visited was nothing like The above description leads you to believe! I walked in to a beautiful front waiting room, with beverages and a room just to entertain kids. The staff at the front desk did ask me to fill out paperwork, but I expected that, being a new patient. I was taken back shortly after I arrived, and the hygienist did xrays and was very talkative and nice. Once she was finished, she went and got Dr. Masters. He came in and did a thorough exam, letting the hygienist know that I had two fillings. He told me about it briefly, and the hygienist went over it with me. I never saw anyone in the office wearing ""lipstick"". The ladies at the front helped get me checked out, and rescheduled with no problem. Though it was busy, I never felt rushed or like I was a burden. Upon leaving, I realized there was only one way in and out, so it's strange that Dr. Masters was seen leaving out the back! Overall, this was one of the best experiences that I have had, and I highly recommend it! more

This was by far one of the worst and most embarrasing experiences in my life. I went in, no one greeted me. After standing there for 5 minutes someone finally came and basically threw a pack of papers at me. she says ""fill this out first"". Once i filled all the papers out i went back to the desk to turn them in and the lady was talking on her cell phone. She stuck her finger up to give her another minute...can you believe that. I think her name was Heather...Anyway, i got seated in the back, someone came, looked at my mouth and took a few x-rays, she then said to wait as the doctor would be in in a few minutes. 25 minutes later i hear people talking outside where i'm sitting and i hear the lady telling the doctor how ""nasty"" my mouth was and that ""he's gonna love this"". I heard the doctor say""oh great, gotta love people on the South side"". can you believe that.? After another 5 minutes the doctor finally came in. He barely glanced at my mouth and then said he would be right back. 15 minutes later he came back and had lipstick on his face. I didn't say anything but i thought the patient should be the focus, not the other women working there. So he says that they can start my treatment the next time i come in because he had a bigger case coming in and didn't have time for me right then. I WAS SHOCKED. I went to my car, called my husband and was telling him about what happened. All the sudden here comes the doctor out the back and he's hugging and kissing some lady, they get in the car and drive off. My tooth still hurts...let me just say they have some jacked up priorities and i would heavily advise not to send any of your loved ones there. Only your enemies. more

Bad scheduling or because you may have to wait 30 minutes past your appt time before you are seated in an uncomfortable room where you people are comming in and out of doors around you its so intrusive the staff is cold and you can cut the tension at this place with a nice, not worth it to come here and be absolutely uncomfortable!! more
