If you are truly Italian... or, have really been exposed to REAL Italian food all your life like I have you would know that MASSIMO'S is where the ITALIAN'S eat. I am not talking about the Americanized Italian food most people are used to. Massimo's cuisine is cooked to order and fresh, so don't rush them! If you want fast food this is not the place for you! With their new renovations it is even a great date place. A nice glass of Sangiovese and their great appetizer special called Sfizi, is a wonderful way to enjoy 7 different authentic specialties like: Seafood salad, clams and shrimp oreganato, caprese, bruschetta, polenta etc... he switches them up every week. I went with my family last week, it was 10 of us, they were so impressed with the family style. Oh, and the portions are so generous without the cost! Anyways, I love this place. Try it! more

At Massimo's I finnaly have found all the tastes and the flavours of my motherland. I tried a lot of "Italian Restaurants" in Bridgeport, but only here I've found the food my mother (Italian) used to cook when I was young. Particullary recommended the Clams (and all the seafood) and the dishes based on Eggplants. Last thing: don't just go for one shot there. Maybe one day the cook woke up not in its best day. But 99% of the time evrything there is special! more

I have gone to Massimo's for nothing other than pizza and it was fair. Convenient because its in a shopping center. I went again to order Lasagna to go and when I got it home I was so disapointed. There was only about a teaspoon if that of Ricotta cheese. It just tasted like noodles and some meat sauce. It was not the Italian Lasagna I was looking forward to. They have since lost me as a customer. I now go to Mario the Baker for Italian food and there Pizza is much better also more

Massimo's Pizza & Restaurant in Bridgeport is a great place for good Italian food. They have been in business for at least 25 years, if not longer. I remeber getting Sicilian pizza slices here when I was little. I also remember getting excellent eggplant pies here as a teenager. This is authentic Italian food, with good sized portions and rich and meaty sauces. This is a great place to grab lunch or dinner. more
