Love these guys! 9/12/2011

We love these guys! We have been taking our cars to Wayne and his crew for almost 10 years and we trust them completely. I first went there on advice of a friend after Merchants wanted to charge me thousands to do all kinds of work (to fix a rattling noise they couldn't identify), which I felt was a total scam. Took it to Massengill's, and they tightened one nut (for free), and it fixed everything. We've been loyal customers ever since! more

Awesome service! 9/12/2011

We love these guys! We have been taking our cars to Wayne and his crew for almost 10 years and we trust them completely. I first went there on advice of a friend after Merchants wanted to charge me thousands to do all kinds of work (to fix a rattling noise they couldn't identify), which I felt was a total scam. Took it to Massengill's, and they tightened one nut (for free), and it fixed everything. We've been loyal customers ever since! One additional service they provide is a pick-up service, so if you're by yourself and don't want to wait, they will take you home, then pick you up later and bring you back to the shop to pick up your car. What a great service! 5 stars! more

I wouldn't go any where else! 6/15/2011

I first walked in to Wayne's about 10 years ago. I had been told that I needed some very expensive carburator work done. Wayne confirmed that indeed that was true. But also said that for about a tenth of that amount he could rig it so that it would work well enough to last till the end of the very old car's life. Amazing! $60 instead of $600. Their honesty combined with their skills can't be beat. I now just drop my car off at appointed times, saying: "Do what ever is needed." They do. I pick it up. No stress. more

I consider Massengill's Auto Services to be the best auto shop around! 5/31/2011

Massengill's Auto Services is always ready to help when you have a problem. And depending on the severity of the problem, you usually can get same day service. Everyone there is so friendly and great! And I can't say enough good things about Wayne. They really provide great customer service, never mind the good work they do on your car. They are amazing! more

Honest, prompt, fair prices, no unnecessary repairs 5/29/2011

I have had all my cars serviced at Massengill's for about twenty years, even before he moved to the current location on Rigsbee St. The owner is an honest, straight-talking, skilled mechanic who stands behind his work. The mechanics in the shop and the office manager will talk through what your car needs for service so that you can make an informed decision about how much to spend and when to spend it. It is the kind of shop where I have never had to leave with that sick feeling in my gut because I think someone is taking advantage of me. Prices are fair. Work is done promptly, done well, and when a problem does arise, they will go back at it to get it right. Massengill's staff are good people, and I send everyone who asks me about a mechanic to this shop. My most recent service on my Scion xB made me a satisfied customer again. more

Massengill's Auto Services is knowledgeable and professional. 5/11/2011

I've been a customer of Massengill's Auto Services for a little over a year now. I think they are friendly, informative and have really good attitudes. They are very accommodating, like if you break down or have a major issue they'll usually get you in that same day. As far as having a good mechanic you can trust and who is close by, Massengill's is a solid place to take your vehicle. Wayne is a very competent person and a really great guy! more

Honest, Trustworthy, Completes Repairs in Timely Manner, Great Service!! 4/13/2011

We have moved three hours from Durham but just took our car back to Massengills for service. We have been going to them for several years and have always been very satisfied with all of their work. We always recommend Massengills to everyone we know! more

Even their regular service is a level above. 4/11/2011

I just think Massengill's is great! I found out about them from my uncle, who's been going there for more than 20 years. I just moved here a couple of years ago myself, and that's when I started going to Massengill's, and it's been nice. They don't recommend work you don't need done, and they send reminders for car inspections so you don't have to go to court to fight tickets about things you forget to maintain. I normally go in there for just regular service, but they're always a level above that. Also, their estimates are pretty close to the actual price for the work. I have an older car, and I've had some substantial work done at this point, and the bill is usually within 10 of the estimate, which I would say is pretty good for any auto mechanic. more

Massengill's Auto offers friendly, competent service. 4/6/2011

I've been living here for nearly sixteen years, and going to Massengill's Auto for that long too. I've stayed with them because they are very respectful to their customers. I also find that Wayne is fair in pricing and he has kept my cars in good, running condition with no serious issues popping up. Plus, and this is big for me, he treats both his customers and his employees really, really well. I highly recommend his services, you'll have a great experience too. Sister Joanna Walsh more

I have so recommended Massengill's Auto to everybody! I'm glad to help Wayne whenever I can. Whoever needs work on a car that's not a Toyota, and that's only because I have a guy equally dear to me, in a tiny shop all by himself, who works on my Toyota truck, I recommend Wayne. He'll fix anything you've got! He's old fashioned, so he stands by his work. Like one time, when he fixed something on my car, less than a year later the same thing went out, and we got stranded coming back from the beach. When Wayne heard about it, he made the work right without it costing anything, and even asked to have the towing billed to him. It turned out to be that the part failed, and that it was the manufacturer's fault, so he worked to get them to split the towing bill too. Kirsten Wescott more

I have only had excellent service at Massengill's. They are always dependable and willing to explain any issue with my car. Wayne is an honest, good man. 2/2/2011

I have been going to Wayne ever since he bought out another guy who owned a service station. What I like most about Wayne, and Massengill's Auto, is that I can trust him. I don't think he is going to cheat me in any way. I have been going to Wayne for a long time, and I have never had a problem with his work not turning out correctly. If I did, I know I could call him, and he would fix it. Wayne is a good man, and he is honest. I think that is more important than anything else, because I know some people get ripped off. more
