Pros: Location in Gaslamp and nice atmosphere Cons: Hugely expensive and poor service more

Bombay , monsoon and Masala disappointed me 4/11/2009

Ugly step sisters Bombay, Monsoon and Masala are waste of money. I tried Bombay for Lunch buffet and thefood was totally garbage. Did not like the rubbery nan bread and the bland food was totally tasteless, Cons: All more

CLASSIEST RESTAURANT IN DOWNTOWN 3/14/2009

I was amazed that this restaurant was an Indian. At first I thought it was a high class Fine Dining Steak house or something but it was Indian. This is an absolutely beautiful and breathtaking restaurant that serves artful food. Try to get Ashley, the Executive Chef to make exotic drinks if she is free. Pros: will spoil you Cons: scared to put on weight more

Unforgettable dining experience at Masala on Fifth Avenue 9/9/2008

My husband and I were recommended the Masala Restaurant on Fifth Avenue, close to the Convention Center by the Four Seasons Hotel ....so we went to celebrate our anniversary and we ordered the ""Chefs Tasting.Menu"".....WOW.....we were just blown away. Pros: All thumbs up Cons: Nothing more

this place was awesome...and the decor was pretty good with very pleasing service..and after all this the food was very delicious ..i like this place very much and i suggest every one to try this place..but the only thing was it was one of the expensive restaurant in the Down town San Diego, but really it worth it .... more

My favorite Indian restaurant 5/28/2007

I absolutely love the food here! My boyfriend and I go here whenever we can, even last Valentine's Day when they were able to squeeze a reservation in for us even though they were pretty booked. I love the atmosphere also. The waiters are always nice and give good suggestions. The best is the buffet they offer once in a while because you can try lots :) If you like food, you'll like this place. yum, I wish I were going there tonight. more

Nice decor, ok service - food terrible 1/13/2007

You know you are in trouble when you order a Chapati Chaat appetizer and you get undercook potatoes in a cold yogurt with some raw spices mixed in. Further, the chapati Chaat does not have chapati!! Apparently the this is chef being creative... if you please. Pros: Ambiance Cons: Food more
