This restaurant seems a little out of place in a strip mall in Woburn, but I'm not going to complain! We made a reservation for 6 for a Sunday night and were seated immediately upon arrival, even though the place was pretty full. Our server knew the menu well and took a few minutes to give us recommendations and make sure we didn't have any questions. \r

I started my meal with a smoked jalapeno margarita. It was a little less spicy than I had anticipated, but good nonetheless. Next time I'll go for the habanero watermelon margarita to really get a good kick! \r

We were served fresh white and corn bread with 3 different spreads. One tasted like a roasted red pepper hummus. The second was sweet, almost like a cinnamon butter. And the third looked like cheeze whiz and didn't have an overly distinctive taste at all. We all agreed, the first one was our favorite. \r

For dinner, I tried the slow-cooked apricot glazed beef short ribs with vanilla pasilla mole, toasted manioc lardons and a grilled plantain salsa, which was one of our servers original recommendations. When they arrived, they actually looked like burnt squares of meat, but once I cut into them and took a bite, they were soft, tender, melt-in-your-mouth delicious. The toasted manioc lardons, which looked and tasted like a sweet potato lasagne, was rich, creamy and delicious. And the grilled plantain salsa was a cool, crisp, almost sweet bite to balance everything out. \r

Others in our group tried the lamb shank, pork tenderloin, lamb shoulder, beef tenderloin and rib-eye and everyone said their meal was delicious. When someone let it slip that their steak was a bit undercooked, the server apologized profusely. When she returned with the check she said the restaurant was going to pay for half the dish. We all thought that was great customer service! \r

All in all, a great meal and a great time was had by all. It's a win for Woburn and we definitely will be back again!
