Mary Sears Pre-School INC

I have two children that attend Mary Sears Children?s Academy in Manteno and they are very happy there. I noticed that my son knew how to count to ten in Spanish and he was only two and a half at the time. He surprises me all the time with the things he?s learned there and fun stories he shares with me. The staff is very professional and has the right kind of attitude and people skills for the job. more

We are so fortunate to have found such a caring group of people to help us raise, teach, and care for our son, Wade. Thank you all for taking such a vital role and investing your hearts in the first 5 plus years of Wade?s life. Kindergarten graduation is bittersweet for us as we look forward with hope and look back with fond memories with Mary Sears! more

I just wanted to write you a note to say ?Thank You?. My daughter, Abby, started going to Mary Sears when she was 2. She continued at your school until she graduated from your Kindergarten program. The time she spent at your school and all she learned in those years have affected her greatly. She was very prepared when she started first grade at Walsh School in Lockport. Today, she continues to excel. She is now in sixth grade at Oak Prairie School and is in Honors classes in Reading, Language Arts, Math, and Science. I truly believe that the start that you and your staff at Mary Sears gave her is responsible for the student that she is today. more

Mary Sears is a wonderfully caring, safe and nurturing facility that has definitely been an important part of the lives of my children. My 5 year old has been at Mary Sears for almost 3 years and has made friends of both staff and other students. My 2 year old has been there almost 1 year and has flourished into a wonderfully inquisitive little toddler. Both my husband and I have to work full time and it is comforting to know that I have left my girls in the loving and capable hands of Mary Sears and with so many other things in their lives to worry about ? I?m glad that childcare is not one of my concerns. I would recommend the facility to anyone asks and further appreciate all the support and empathy they facility provides my family more

My two year old daughter has been enrolled here for 2 months. I have been very happy so far. The entire staff is very friendly and gives both of us a warm greeting and salutations each day. My daughter can't wait to show off her artwork and tell me things they've done that day. more

The poor reviews about this school are absolutely correct! I can vouch from experience and regret ever using this ?school?. Do NOT send your children here! None of the ?teachers? are certified and anyone in a position of power is related to the director. They are given carte blanche to do or say whatever they want. They put on a lovely dog and pony show for parents about how the ?children come first?. However, after the parents leave they just let children sit and cry, and actually yell at staffers who try to comfort the children! I recently took a course in classroom management and everything the instructor discussed about having consistent rules and a calm and caring atmosphere was never followed at Mary Sears. They would routinely make up new ?rules? on the spot that didn?t exist before, and spend more time spying on each other and engaging in gossip than watching their own classrooms. They break their own ?rules? about how males are not to be with the children when they go to the bathroom. What they claim goes on and what actually occurs are completely different things. I know what my children experienced and they are NOT liars. Mary Sears is a terrible institution and more like a boot camp that any kind of loving nurturing environment. more

My daugther attended Mary Sears in Lemont from age 2 to 6. They were so patient with me and let me call twice a day no problem for the first several weeks! Now she's in the first grade and 2 quarters in a row her report card had extra ++++ by ""respect"", ""respect for authority"" and listening to instructions. My husband and I smiled and said Thank You Mary Sears!! Her respect in the classroom is 100% due to the structure they have had Mary Sears. I always felt it was one of the cleanest child care places I've seen as well! Stephanie K. more

anyone hearing the ridiculous comments from bob sears should stay away from him... (i actually think bob is a she too cowardly to put her real info out there) the mary sears schools are a 46 year old company with close too 10 locations... logically thinking, if any of this was going on, dcfs would have done something years ago... the fact remaining is that this bob sears complains about everything from rembrendt studios to restaurants, etc.... anyone reading this absurd garbage needs to do their do-diligence and actually go into the centers themselves to see for yourself... i know from credible sources that this bob sears is being investigated by the FBI and high powered Cyber Attorneys.... bob sears is a fraud.....
