Best

I loved it! Get the Bacon Cheeseburger. It really is a surprise. You won't be dissapointed. They are selling a $20.00 burger for $5.00.

Worst

Big Omelets, but they lay the cheese over the outside. Home Fries are still the frozen potato cubes. Asked about Grits, and was told they were instant-so they weren't ordered. ...

Stay Away 10/24/2011

The waitstaff is decent except for the older blonde lady with glasses. She is nosy and will interrupt you while you are in a conversation. She will refill the sugar containers while you are sitting at the table. The younger dark headed chubby girl is excellent. She is both a waitress and a cook. That is about the only time you want to be there. The other cook that is an older woman with gray hair looks gross and doesn't cook the food all the way. The chicken will still be frozen. She is rude when you send food back and looks at you ugly. Their food is decent but be careful what you order...they cook their food in advanced. Meatloaf may be a few days old..macaroni salad maybe a few days old...etc. It is always best to ask what is the freshest thing on the menu. They allow smoking in there..so if you are not a smoker; I wouldn't go in there..It reeks of cigarettes. more

Best Food Ever 1/24/2011

Today my boyfriend and I wondered into Mary Jane's on a mission to find some good breakfast food. What we didn't know when we got there was that we were about to have some of the best food EVER! \r \r My boyfriend decided on getting the bacon cheese burger. The hand patted burger was the perfect thickness with the bacon that was cooked exactly right to match. The burger came with all the fixings including a lightly toasted bun to finish off its perfection.\r \r I got the corned beef hash with two eggs. The corned beef was to die for. Cooked exactly right with the potatoes meshed perfectly with the beef and the egg mixed together was pure heaven!!\r \r We shared a plate of biscuits and gravy. The biscuits were exactly how my grandma use to make them. I am by far not one for biscuits and gravy either and they were so amazing.\r \r I am saving the best for last. The home made fries. These are a must have!!!! They are potatoes chunks with the skin still on them and fried to perfection. I don't know if I can ever go back to stick fries again after this. \r \r All in all this little hole in the wall diner made my day! It is a must try and my boyfriend and I will be going back very soon! This is the diner that makes you feel like family not just another customer. more

Not Non-Smoking 11/11/2009

Big Omelets, but they lay the cheese over the outside. Home Fries are still the frozen potato cubes. Asked about Grits, and was told they were instant-so they weren't ordered. My friends got the French Toast and bacon and Eggs, hash browns and bacon. They said both entrees were good. I watched the wait staff stand by the ladies room smoking. However, neither went inside to wash their hands before coming back to take orders. It's a nice place, but I don't think I'll be returning. I don't like the smell of cigs burning while dining. Pros: Big Omelets and attentive staff Cons: Smoking allowed no down home grits! more

Good Prices, Average Food 3/7/2004

When I went to this restaurant, I was hoping for homemade food like grandma's, and I wasn't very impressed. The food was ok, but I guess my high hopes wanted more. I got the Philly sandwich with home fries. The meat was kind of crunchy but still good, and the home fries weren't really home fries at all. They were more like little bitty cubed potatoes that were not cooked enough, so they tasted like raw potato cubes coated in dirty oil. This may have just been a bad day for the place, because I've only been there once, but I don't think I could recommend this restaurant to anyone. Pros: price Cons: , bad service, bad lattes more
