Every time I think of great ice cream I always think of Mary Coyle in central Phoenix. I've had ice cream from many chains out in Phoenix and Coldstone is my second favorite because I get to choose my yummy toppings and they give you a lot for the price but Mary Coyle takes the cake as far as taste goes. They have won many “Best of” awards in the city and rightfully so. They’ve been making homemade ice cream in there establishment since 1951 of traditional and original flavors of ice cream (see the list on their website). They are like a 1950’s diner and also serve sandwiches, soups and salads. I haven’t tried any of the meals but I can only bet they are as yummy as the ice cream. A little warning though, the ice cream has a very high percentage of butter fat, 16 or 19% which is so bad for your health but it makes the ice cream that much better. This is the only Mary Coyle so I'd definitely recommend visiting there if you ever stop through Phoenix. To find out a little more about Mary Coyle go to www.marycoyle.net
