When I made the appt. for my son the receptionist gave me the physical address (she even gave me the zip code) and the name of the doctor my son would see. I thought no problem, I'll map quest it. I was not mailed a map, instructions on arriving, or medical forms. I was only told to arrive 15 min. prior to fill out the medical forms. I should have been warned or better informed by the appt. setter that they are located in a huge campus like area. She could have mentioned that there are no visible signage on any of the medical buildings (not even the bldg #'s or names were visible). Why not give me a heads up about all of the construction going on around the hospital and medical buildings. I arrived in the area on time but ended up driving around 40 extra minutes trying to find it. There are several parking garages and I was not even told were to park when I arrived. Finally, I find the center and was greeted by a receptionist that acted like I did something wrong to her for being late. Her attitude was written all over her face. She said my son couldn’t be seen. (She was aghast that I even still wanted to be seen since I was late) She never even checked to see, just said NO. So if that’s how the doctors allow their office staff to treat their PATIENTS then I can only imagine how disrespectful the doctors are to patients and the patients families. She said ""The ONLY thing I can do is reschedule"". I said no. I will go somewhere else but I did notify the hospitals Patient Advocates. The Advocate agreed w/me that the streets and bldgs are not marked for patients & that she was wrong to act the way she did.
