true, i love to shop... but here, i really love to shop! whenever i am in the area and sometimes not even in the area, i just want to sop here, i'll come from afar... i stop in every once in awhile just in case... and i ALWAYS find stuff... stuff i don't even remember i need or want or like but i still always end up buying somethings! there are nick nacks, japanese goods, foods, dishes, gifts, office supplies, gardening tools, slippers, etc. i love this place! i highly recommend coming here! more

Cheap trinkets 9/2/2005

Unlike Marukai, the grocery store on the same street, you don't need a special membership to shop here. Everything in store is .98 cents. It's a bargain you have to search hard for because items are messy and aisles are never organized. I only wish they were to clean up floors and shelves to make things look more neat. more

another dollar store 8/18/2005

this is another dollar store, however this one sells mostly japanese related products. the product quality is definitely better than typical 99 cents only stores. you can find, toys, office supplies, and some electronics stuff in store. the only thing i do not understand is they refuse to refund anything. and the cashiers are some old japanese ladies who i can barely understand what they are saying, wonder how they passed the entrance interview. more

98 Cents! 8/17/2005

Marukai 98 Cent store is a great store for inexpensive stuff. They have all kinds of different things to buy ranging from things like housewares to little toys. It's a nice little twist off of the regular 99 cent stores. You can usually find something new every time you go shop there. more

My favorite 98cents store 8/2/2005

This place has everything--vases, kitchen supplies, snacks, home decor, office/school supplies, & more! And almost everything is 98 cents! It's a change from the usual corner 98 cent store & the popular 99 cent store.. but a GOOD change. I often go there just to browse & look at all the little trinkets, like decor & designed chopsticks. more
